as in a OEM steering rack that we just took out of the FJC when we replaced it with a new OEM rack...

there's no good reman steering rack companies for the FJC anymore...so i have a core to be rebuilt for anyone looking for a new FJC rack to install...should save a few hundred on parts

got 35-40k on them now...usually try to pass on tires while they still have some life left on them

i been eyeing the Trxus MT for a while now and now that i have a daily, i'm going to give them a go

had no issues with the STT Pro...i still recommend them...i only wish the performance didn't fade as the tire aged, but that'll happen

think they "aged" worse then the MTRs?

tread life was much better IMO...i felt the MTRs wore way too fast

as far as fading performance, i don't remember a fade that much with the MTR, but you got them off me at a much earlier point in their life

funny tho as Kayla's MTRs have fared much better than mine...difference might be the D vs E load...i had the 305/70/17 vs she has the 315/75/16

i was happy with both the old STT and the STT Pro as far as mileage...they still have plenty of life left even at 35-40k

no major chunking issues with my set and i never rotated in my spare either...

i'm expecting faster tread wear with the Trxus, but i put on a lot less commuting miles on the truck now, so i'm ok with that....but who knows

    interesting.

I've gotten a lot out of mine. Even in their dying age they still perform damn good.

not worried about mileage as its for Frank and he isn't a DD.

Been eyeing the Pros as a next choice...but i love the traction the MTRs have.

i added to the comment late, but i didn't notice much fade with the MTR...but i also passed them on to you earlier than i have kept the two STT sets...

even with Kayla's set, it still seems to perform great...but we also have a winter set for her truck, so we don't notice any changes in winter performance...

if i siped the Pros this winter, i bet it would not have been as noticeable of a fade in performance...
