Yes I get your point and agree that payload isn't just springs. I'm not sure how to calculate the contribution of an overload that never gets used when you have trailer hooked on with a 250 tongue weight. My point is that the overload is a very minor factor in the whole equation and probably negligible.

I'm talking about towing capacity and you're talking payload as it affects suspension so maybe it's two different discussions. I'm not trying to be argumentative, if I'm wrong I'm happy to learn from my mistakes and admit it.

No doubt for strictly towing needs its a minor consideration.

Not sure the tongue weight of OPs bass boat, but I'd assume he's adding some cargo to the bed. Anyway, just info.

When I had this setup I found the 3 leaf to be too soft for much load carrying. 250 lbs shell on my bed dropped my lift in half with the 3 leaf AAL with overload.

Rode great unloaded, but if you're going to haul weight regularly and/or have a constant load in the bed a single leaf AAL is a stronger solution.

I agree with DCSBFTMFW, if I was carrying a constant 250 lb weight in the box of my truck from a topper, tool box or trail gear, I'd have left the overload on. Mostly I carry bikes and other sports gear in the box and it has a tonneau on it. It's mostly empty. It's job is everyday transportation with the occasional horse hauling.

My current rear measurements show the DS at 24" and PS at 23.5". When I get the AAL and take out the blocks, would it hurt anything if I left the overload in on the PS if there is still a 1/2" difference or should I not worry about there being a 1/2" difference between the sides?

Don't worry about it.....you may not be on level ground anyways. If you leave a overload leaf on one side that side will raise you higher than a half inch.

So if you go with the pro suspension on the trd offroad you will get 1.75" of lift in the front and you dont have to worry about vibrations or excessive wear, its just a plug and play? If thats the case i definately would like to do that

Yes, just like Peter stated. It's a very nicely tuned suspension that was engineered for Toyota so you won't have any problems what so ever.

Will I need something to reroute brakelines? I read somewhere that the brakelines may need a different mounting location or longer clip?

For those that were interested.....there was/is a trd Baja/pro suspension listed in Craigslist Milwaukee. It was listed yesterday for $400. Mildly used and the will enemy throw in the rear springs.

Well I finally got my AAL and got around to installing this suspension but the rear shock bottom mount is wider and bolt hole is bigger on the shock than the mount on the truck. What options are there to get these installed? Will I have to cut off the current mounts on my truck and install bigger/wider mounts or is there a conversion piece that can be installed?

What were your impressions with the Pro suspension before any other mods in back?

I had spacers and blocks before so I can't say compared to stock. But it is a much better ride compared to the spacers and blocks.

    Hey all,

I've got a 2013 DCSB Sport and am wondering if the suspension from a 2017 TRD Pro would fit on my truck as I found a set for sale. I'm assuming this would add about 2" (just like the 2nd gen) if indeed it does fit.

    Cheers!
