I'm 50 50 on that, my father and I are finally going to Disneyland to celebrate his birthday although it'll be either Friday or Thursday.

I haven't read up on TDS dates yet but I doubt it. Prepping for the mint 400 and remodeling the house since I didn't have enough on my plate lol

 

LOL, I know if I was retired, I'd be out camping, shooting, working on projects (i.e. whether car/house/etc)... just enjoying life instead of jury duty. I don't know, that's just me I guess? Some people are just different, I mean if they enjoy doing jury duty then that is all fine and good, but to "force" it upon someone is straight BS!!! Just say'n

I was summoned 2x and for each one I wrote a letter explaining to them I will happily give them some numbers to call to explain to the fire chiefs why their pet project was not getting done in a timely manner, LOL!!! Which, was ALL TRUE!!! If I remember correctly, I actually did write down a few contact numbers!!! LOL!!! At the time, my company was working on a HUGE O.C. project and there were HARD deadlines that had to be met, no if ands or buts!!!! That letter worked because a few days later they called the office while I was at lunch and told them that I was excused, LMAO!!! The second time I was summoned, same/VERY similar situation and there was a government project involved with that one!!! I was excused from that one as well!!! LMAO!!! Even the bosses realized if I was gone that these jobs wouldn't get done!!! LOL!!! You could easily tell they were F'N worried if I had to go and serve, LMFAO!!!

In many ways, I was doing my "civic duty"!!! So, yeah, I most definitely HATE it if "I" get lectured about doing my "civic duty"!!! I was involved in all aspects of fire public safety... making sure that the fire stations, dispatch centers, and radio comms were continually working. Fire stations at the airports, I do NOT want to even BEGIN to get into that F'N NIGHTMARE!!!

He says he is going out there with me. Everybody else on TW wants to camp in the boonies and I'm staying close to where all the shit goes down.

It's starting to look like I'll even have extra beds in the toy hauler so he won't have to tent it.
