Yeah I was looking between the two, notice the better water protection. I'll probably end up getting the same one. Thanks Mike!

Cool.Let me know if you need help with the install. I made the mistake of not connecting all the wires to the back of the winch Before putting the bumper back on. It was a tight spot to work with. Probably best to do a test fit to figure out which direction you want all the wires facing. ( they are big) Then pull it off, tighten wires onto winch and slide the rubber seal over it.

Hey Steve, just found this thread while I was researching something else. Truck is looking damn good!
    Quick couple of questions:
1: Are you running wheel spacers with the FN wheels? I know they have better backspacing than the T4R Pro wheels that they are modeled after, but I didn't see anything mentioned in the thread.
2: How much cutting did you end up having to do to make room for the 295 STT Pros? I know there are some minor differences in the 2nd and 3rd gen wheel well geometry, but I'm trying to help a buddy out that is looking at getting a similar setup as you.

    Thanks in advance.

    They, thanks!

1: No spacers, I once had a rub on my UCAs when I jumped the truck. Won't be doing that again lol. But I've not had an issue with the 285s nor the 295s since.
2: I did quite a bit of cutting. Removed all the plastic lining (Except the part covering the intake), smashed pinch welds, deep CMC, wheelers bumpstops with 3/8 spacers (still rubbing up top, so need a thicker spacer), and I'm rubbing behind the wheels on the fender when tucked, so I need more inside fender cutting. I've been working on the rubbing since I bought the 285s, but I think I'm almost there.

Thanks man, I'll have to check it out in person one of these days. I got lucky with my 295s and only rub under full compression (which usually means I was going too fast anyway). The only trimming I did was the lower lip on the rear of my stock front fender flares. No CMC, no pinch weld.

That is lucky. With my 285s I had light rubbing on pinch and cab mount. I know the 295s would've been worse so I did that prior to mounting them.

That set up has to rub the cab mount. What kind of backspacing do you have?

That's what I keep hearing, but I have never touched my cab mount even under full compression. 17x8.5, 0 offset (even though Method lists as 4.75" backspacing). I've been meaning to actually measure the backspacing to finally have the real figure instead of going off Method's contradicting numbers.
I even acquired CMC plates in anticipation of having to chop, but it never happened.

Under full lock compressed my 285s would grab so hard it was difficult to move. Gonna have to check this out. I know backspacing plays a big part but no rub at all is unheard of. At least to me.

Yeah, definitely. I'm just as surprised about it as everyone else is when I tell them. The only place I have ever had rubbing issues are the damn fender flares. If I could only bring myself to remove them, I think I'd be good. Or I could follow your lead and make with the choppy chop.

You've always run spacers though, right? I imagine that would push you into the cab mount

So many variables. A stock wheel with a spacer could get you around aftermarket wheel spacing. Your either rubbing UCA or pushing the tire out and rubbing the cab mount. To miss both is very interesting.

True, with my 285s, I barely nicked the cab mount, and once touched the UCA.. of course I'm 3rd gen, so there's that.

Just left work and as I'm walking towards my truck I hear myself thinking "these tires are too small for this truck" :help:

As much as I want to, the end doesn't justify the means just yet.
