I value my shins way too much to leave a hitch in so that's all I need one more part to have to take off to get the hitch in and out.

Really depends on how loose the fit is. I got tired of the noise going over speed bumps and pot holes... I put that duct tape on 10 years ago and the way it looks it should at least last another 10.

I bought a sh*t cargo rack from harbor freight for a hunting trip, wiggled beyond belief. I did the ducktape trick mentioned above... is that just human nature? Every human faced with this scenario reaches for ducktape? Unbelievable.

This is pretty standard for all hitch receivers, there will always be a little play between the ball mount and the receiver I checked a few trucks, my Tacoma has it, and the GMC Sierra that we own has it, our chevy suburban has it and our farm truck has a little play between the ball mount and the receiver, as long as you got the pin and clip that goes through the receiver you should be good

Yep if it didn't the first good run through some water or a rain storm a few days latter you wouldn't be able to get it out!
