Firstly, thanks for the wealth of information on here.

Picked up my truck new in June 2015. Was leasing, but the drop in the pound meant buying the truck became a no brainier. Soon as I knew I was going to own it I looked at making it my own. Found you all a few weeks ago, and have been soaking it all up since. Figured it would be polite to join and say hello and thanks.

Pic taken just after I dropped the stock rims off at the storage facility.

Stereo upgrade is on the way. Will be installing myself over the next couple of weeks as bits arrive.

Future mod I may be enquiring about: if I ship this back to the UK, I'm gonna need turn indicators adding to the sides. Figure the cleanest way to do this would be to add Sport mirrors and wire them in...

    Thanks sirs.

looking at that catalogue, it appears possible, if a bit pricey, but preferable to some dude drilling into my fenders to add lamps.

Maybe half my questions will be along the lines of "what do you call this part?". See my above comment where I called it an indicator instead of a turn signal.

Not sure what the technical term would be I just call it a side mirror with turn signal or a signal lamp.

It is quite expensive if you buy all the parts separately, but you could always get the Toyota brand mirror with all of the parts included already. Best bet would be to search around on the web and see if people are selling them complete. For instance with a quick Google search I found this:
    http://www.partsgeek.com/jq1v9kg-to...tsGeek+ShopZilla&fp=pp&utm_term=Toyota+Mirror

A word before you get into actually buying the mirrors is to check if your Tacoma is pre-wired for these mirrors or if you will have to wire them yourself.

My IT is set up to spell check in British English. Can't promise some "correct" spelling won't slip though.

I will say I have many decisions to make before I decide if the Tacoma will be exported to England. My work contract is up in October. My American girlfriend will soon be my fiancé and then wife. I'd love to stay here in the US to keep her happy. I'd feel quite a lot of guilt if I made her leave Denver to live in a small town in England.

Welcome! I'm a transplant from Northern Ireland, born in Belfast. I've been in the US now for about 25 years. My family and I left N.I. in 1990 and had a short stay in Ontario Canada before emigrating to Washington state. Still a citizen of the UK but a permanent resident of the US. I'm not a big fan of the overseas hilux appearance/body style, but their power train is desirable IMO. More so than the gaser v6. £34,000 BP(~$43,000 USD) for a 2016 hilux with a d-4d diesel and 5500km is quite the price tag compared to its American cousin.

I wonder if overseas Tacoma enthusiasts wish they could obtain our productions trucks like we wish we could get the hilux in the US. IE the TRD PRO or other styles.

If you do move back to England, and export the truck, i hope you keep us updated with pics. It would be so awesome to see a Tacoma in the U.K. But then again, you do have plenty of important choices to make before you do so. Wish you the best.
