    Treds are cheaper but I have seen tests where they can crack - Maxtrax cost more but I have seen where the nubs have melted from spinning tires on them. I have the Maxtrax but having either is no good unless you have them with you :rolleyes:
    Also had a set stolen from inside my truck by having the windows smashed out once. Now I only carry them if going off-road or in snow.
