I know scan gauge can read trans temp. Has anyone gotten it to work with the Torque app? Thanks.

Yep. It works. Iirc, view the inactive sensors, and select the transmission temps ones. Iirc there was two. Add both and one of them should work.

Neither worked on mine. I'll retry.

I have looked into this a lot and have not been able to get a reading on my 99 3rz with the A340E transmission. I know there was a point in which the ECM actually reads the transmission temperature compared to older models that didn't report it.

Here is the info for the Engine Link app but it is pretty much the same: ECU address or Header: 0

    ModeandPID: 01B4
    Formula: A*(9/5)-38
    Min Value: 0
    Max Value: 300
Description: (I used TFT, but you can put in whatever you like)
Unit: F (if you want, you can put in the degree sign so it's °F).

My truck uses ISO 9141-2 protocol btw.

Has anyone tried the ELMSCAN Toyota app?

Also, what blue tooth adapters are y'all using? I've had two of the eBay versions, and they both didn't work for long...

Bafx. But I didn't use mine for too long. Kinda got bored with it. Lol. But from what I've heard, bafx is the most reliable.

I was thinking of mounting a dedicated device to keep in the truck and run torque all the time. Just don't have a device to use like that. Maybe my current phone whenever I upgrade. Thought about a small 7" tablet too.
