Just got tracking for my UCON!! yay finally Ill be able to drive the FJ, its been a few weeks since its moved from the driveway.

 

Getting the TRD flash and alignment now!

 

I get 8 on the top end. I think it's just about perfect now.

 

Install some Harrop e-lockers and it will be better than the OR IMO.

got my supercharger installed at the dealership. They said i didn't qualify for the trd flash. My software was the most current version ?? Does that make sense ? They installed BD .. cross my fingers.

Plus, they said they've never had any issues with bd and prefer it over trd.

 

As long as the BD works, roll with it.

 

I haven't really tried too many hard pulls so I don't know if I can consistently pull 8lbs. Mostly the traction control slows me.

 

You won't see 8 without the 2.85 pulley.


Although I think some guy did see it but it was because he had exhaust leaks or vac leaks or something, cant remember off the top of my head. Standard boost with everything stock is usually 6.5 or under. Might see close to 7 with upgraded performance stuff, but without changing pulleys you shouldnt be seeing over 7.

 

The TRD tune seems to be doing great with the 2.85 pulley and new fuel pump! The shifts are smooth, idle is perfect and no dash lights! Very impressed so far. URD long tube headers are going on Monday, so I hope it remains drama free.

I don't know what universal/"almost right" file BD installed.

 

Definitely verify the "tune" has been installed. Check under the settings on the BD unit.

 

Yeah, I haven't figured out a good launch yet. TRAC off and I spin the right tire hard. Maybe I need to do the e-locker anytime mod. If I peddle it of the line I can get in rolling. I touch the rev limited on 1-2, and 2-3 as it shifts.

 

4WD, kill traction control (hold trac button for like 9 sec or something) turn 4WD off in between 2nd and 3rd gear. Obviously at a track.
