Hey fellow Tacomas, looking for an cheaper version of a cargo divider without haven't to shell 250.00 or more. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

I just use a cargo bar as it fits in the slots on both sides of the bed. For most items it's fine and you can also hang things on it like grocery shopping bags and such. Also only $15 compared to ~$300 for the Toyota cargo divider. Also I recommend getting a bed mat, it prevents things from sliding around so a cargo divider isn't really necessary.

    Shower tension rod.
But I'd be skeptical that one of those could stand up to being bounced around in the bed with any kind of load on it...

Bought the rails from KB Vodoo and used wood and screening to make my own. Total cost about $60.00. So far have lasted several years.

If you have any access to a simple MIG welder you can knock up something with some 1/4 angle iron and some expanded metal sheet. That presupposes you have access to the welder, but it's non-structural so if you ever felt like learning is a nice starter project.

I bought the cargo divider and bed extender. I took the cargo divider out after a week and still use the bed extender. Depending on your needs the extender may be an ok solution, especially with a tonneau cover - gas cans, groceries, etc. fit there fine when the extender is folded over in the bed instead of over the tailgate.
