I am looking for a programmer to change my tire size from stock to 305/65/18's and maybe performance increase if possible. Most brands say they don't have one for 3rd gen Tacoma's yet. Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Being that one company just came out with an aftermarket ecu to work with the '09+ , last year, it might be a while for the performance side of tuning.

Are you trying to correct your speedo when you say "programmer to change my tire size from stock to 305/65/18's"?

Regearing would help restore lost power and correct the speedo with no need of a programmer.

Your local dealer likely will not do regearing, some might. You should check your local Read End shops. Posting in the regional section of the forum will be able to give you recommendations local to you. Being that you have a Sport, regearing is an excellent time to throw in a mechanical traction device such as an LSD or locker as there is no additional labor cost. I personally really like the Trutrac.

This is the shop I use, you can use their diff wizard to see what is available for your truck.

Talked into regearing within 24hrs of joining the site. What a bunch of enablers we are . OP, welcome to Tacoma Wallet. You need sliders, skids, plate bumpers and lots of other stuff you didn't know you needed.

I'm not sure how the 3rd Gen compares to the 2nd Gen when it comes to the Speedo.... however... a regear doesn't necessarily fix the speedo on a 2nd Gen.

    Just saying...

Re-Gear is still a good idea with a large increase in tire size though. You'll get your torque back and decrease the strain on your transmission.

Use SpeedoHealer for correcting the speedo reading.
