It's horrible.

Friend and I hopped on Discord last night. Worked fine...started up Wildlands...we were slingshotting across the map, I would randomly die, and Discord would just give out and whole PC would go unresponsive until I force closed it.

 

Was it server issues? I know a lot of times the dev companies vastly underestimate what they need for server needs when the game (or beta) launches.
Or was is the actual game?

 

That was all server sides.

As far as the game...concept seems cool. I know it's not a driving, flying, or dirtbike game but the mechanics when driving/riding/flying are absolutely horrid.

 

Yeah it does seem like a cool concept. And I'm glad it was server issues, they can figure that shit out. But too late to make huge changes to the actual game.

If I like the beta, I'll probably wait for it to come on sale, $60 is a lot for a PC game

 

Ubisoft will usually go 50% off in a month of so after release. No game, in the world, is worth $60. I buy everything on sale.

Just played the first mission it was was pretty good. I just played solo. Sort of reminds me of the first Just Cause - but less explosions and more sneaking around.

 

Anyone else debating a Ryzen upgrade? I'm a huge AMD fan but had to go Intel due to AMD's lack of a good gaming processor. With Intel slashing all of their prices by at least 30% and the early comparisons showing an AMD lead for the short term in the 6-8 core processors I'm thinking about jumping ship for a new build. If Intel is dumping price they are scared.

 

It's too early to make the jump to a new build. I want to wait to see what others build and see how Ryzen does. I have watched some YouTube reviews but want to see real world lol

 

Yeah I'm waiting on third party reviews as well which come out on March 2nd. Still it's a good sign when the competition makes a panic move that you may be onto something lol.

I like supporting the smaller guy sometimes. There has to be competition. If there wasn't competition we would all be running Itaniums right now which sucked and weren't backwards compatible.
