I figure if we are wheeling at Rausch when we use them that they would need a chopper to enforce anything. That would be fun.:headbang:

I think dual band is between CB and HAM. There are free to use repeaters that let you use low power kinda like a cell network. One band is transmit and the other band is receive. There is also some kinda privacy code that you can use to keep the casual eavesdropping blocked.

HAM requires a specific license, which you should really have to trash thier bands.

That radio is dual band because it can monitor two channels, but only TX on one.

Look up GMRS, and stay on those FREQS and you'll be fine.

HAM is where real radio geeks live, and they get pissy, then call FCC when you walk on thier FREQS.

They should get pissy. They went through the required procedures to get licensed to legally use those frequencies.

This. If you are going to invest in anything beyond CB to only use at Rausch you are doing it wrong IMO. HAM is the way to go especially if you ever want to do some big trips or trips out in ranges where cell service is potentially gone.

Any help? Switch lights up on ground with no power. With power the LED turns off when I hit the switch to power driving lights. Or, with driving lights off and headlights on both LEDs light up. Obviously something is backwards, but what?
