We picked up the 17 ORDC a week ago and I only drove it short trips to work. Yesterday we took it to my son’s home in South Jersey. Its about 100 miles down 476 and 76 trough Phily, not the best roads. On the way back we went trough Jim Thorpe using 93 to Mountain Top. I’ll have to say we were very impressed with the ride and handling on the highway and trough the mountains. No issues with the trans looking for gears, up grades and down grades. I’m looking to swap out the wheels and tires with the FN Pros and 265-70-17 KO2. After seeing how good the truck did I’m worried the KO2 will change the ride. Your thoughts?

if you're averse to E rated tires then certain sizes of KO2's are available with the C rating.

speaking for myself, changing to E rated tires ( Cooper ST Maxx) was a mighty upgrade and i love the ride of these over bubble gum C tires, but that just my 0.02.

Congrats on the new truck Lee! Glad to see the positive post on the way the truck handles and shifts, especially considering your other daily driver. Like I mentioned to you when we were talking, at the dealer level (at least mine), we are not seeing the massive amount of issues posted here.

can't really say, Joe... i just hit 5200 miles, put on a tonneau, changing around my Pedal Commander settings, etc. too many variables. it's possible i took a minor hit, but less than 1mpg. i changed from Toyo Open Countrys 265/70-17, which are a bit larger than the E's i have now (265/65-17), so i didn't gain much weight when going to E's in my case.

Thanks! Had my hart set on the white OR access cab and the wife talked me into the DC. I'll have to say I like it, just trying to get over the look of the short bed.
Still not as nice as the GTS but I like the fact no more salt on my baby.

I run toyo mt e rated during hunting season. They ride good not much road noise but they weigh 58lbs a tire. My fuel mileage takes about a 3 to 4 mph hit with these tires with everyday driving.
