One of the jokes I told another member on TW is that it's a bad idea to go bareback with a girl in your Tacoma even if you two are exclusive, unless it's a Limited with leather seats ;)

In my opinion the same rule applies if you have an expensive mattress and no plastic bedliner!

Hell, forget about sex altogether. I grew out of the bedwetting stage about 2 decades ago (I'm almost 28, do the math). I still have a plastic liner on my memory foam mattress because I just don't want to trash it (nosebleeds, spilling any drink that isn't a clear liquid, and yes, even the occasional casual encounter).

My friend's dog took a whiz on the bed and she didn't have a plastic liner. This mattress wasn't a Sleep Number by any means, but it wasn't a cheap one either, and it was almost new at the time if I remember correctly. This nearly-new mattress got a one-way trip to the dump in the bed of my Tacoma a day later and was quickly replaced... The dog was banned from being on the bed when owner wasn't present, but she got a plastic liner just in case the dog disobeyed her (a correct assumption).

UPDATE: Willy was having serious health issues and my uncle had him put to sleep in either late 2018 or early 2019, to end his suffering :(

My uncle got pulled over in North Carolina just after leaving a rest stop, and state police asked for and received permission to search his 1991 Toyota pickup. The reason they gave for pulling my uncle over was that even though he had his seatbelt on by the time he got pulled over, they claimed he wasn't wearing it when they'd seen him leave the rest stop. Basically, my uncle fit their profile of a drug runner based on his appearance and the appearance of the truck, that truck was registered in Pennsylvania and had boxes full of car parts in the bed, and he had a "Pit Bull-type dog" riding shotgun. The troopers searched the bed, but they wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the cab without blood being drawn.

The troopers eventually gave up and let my uncle go without so much as a warning, because the dog in the picture above went from being the teddy bear he is 99% of the time, to basically defending himself and his owner's truck against unreasonable search and seizure, one of our most basic rights as American citizens.

:facepalm:By the way, Willy is a Staffordshire Terrier, not technically a Pit Bull.

On top of that, like I said he is a teddy bear. He was known in his younger (insanely hyper) days for being incredibly patient and letting the young children of various family members, and of my uncle's friends, climb all over him. He's still alive but now 11 years old and almost completely deaf. While he is still genuinely friendly, he is now more like Roger Murtaugh:

Also, if a coke dealer purchases a Lamborghini with drug money, they deserve to have that car seized. However, as a law-abiding citizen whose truck was purchased with legally earned money, I firmly believe that my name on a clear and notarized title overrules all federal, state, and local laws when it comes to my Tacoma. A man's cab is his castle... I just wish I had a dog like Willy to make that clear...

Also, I think being a photographer for Playboy or Penthouse, or taking pictures of bondage models (not hardcore BDSM stuff, not even necessarily nude; just rope bondage and stuff like that) would be more appealing...

I was once offered a job taking pictures of girls for various strip clubs. You bet your ass I attempted to follow up on that, but the guy who claimed to know all these strippers and house moms never returned my calls or texts. If it seems too good to be true...

Hardware store key duplicators aren't calibrated as well as a good locksmith's will be. So, the slight bit that it's off may make a copy not work. It shouldn't mess up your lock, though. A dealer should be able to code-cut you a key based on your VIN. Try a good new code-cut one. If it doesn't work well, visit a locksmith and see if there is something wrong with the cylinders.

Hardware stores are mostly duplicating keys for Master padlocks, Kwiksets, residential-grade Schlage, etc. None of which are anywhere near as finicky as a high-quality commercial lock. That's why their machines don't need to be that great. Locksmiths, on the other hand, need to deal with large institutional key systems with very close tolerances. For instance, we have mostly Sargent and Corbin-Russwin restricted key systems at work and need to take blanks and an original to an actual locksmith to get working copies--hardware store copies are off just enough so they won't work.

All I need to say is that I was bored and had some leftover strands of outdoor-rated colored lights after decorating the house for Christmas. I made a friendly bet with my friend and future boss that if she let me park my Tacoma outside the venue, it would probably draw a record crowd. I have no idea if parking a Tacoma with Christmas lights on the back played a direct roll in attracting a record crowd, but I did win the bet...

FYI The extension cord running through the driver's window was so I didn't come out to a dead battery at last call...

    701922_4952664811666_2108833913_o.jpg

While driving, I plugged the lights into an inverter/adapter thing with a household plug, which in turn was plugged into the cigarette lighter (one of the few uses a nonsmoker like me has for one outside of running a portable GPS).

Also, this is one of those time when a little quote based on a family member's personal experience comes into play...

"If a coke dealer purchases a Lamborghini with drug money, they deserve to have that car seized. However, as a law-abiding citizen whose truck was purchased with legally earned money, I firmly believe that my name on a clear and notarized title overrules all federal, state, and local laws when it comes to my Tacoma. A man's cab is his castle... I just wish I had a dog like Willy to make that clear..."

I DID NOT get pulled over, though I did stop driving around with the Christmas lights on only because my mom expressed concern. If a cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket, I'd fight it on the grounds that I'd been pulled over by this guy or this guy.

Pictures I took the driveway of my parents' old house before driving to Puck that night, plus a video I made at the same time (John Lennon coming on the radio during the video was a coincidence):
