    From his FaceBook:

"Thankful to be alive right meow. Thanks AK for your roads with awesome stud ruts, and that nice frosty layer from the rain last night. This afternoon at 65 mph I rolled my Tacoma twice. Windows blew out, cab packed full with snow from the median where I rolled. Like I literally had to dig myself of an avalanche inside of the cab. Aside from a few cuts and scrapes, and a headache, I'm fine."

Damn....I hate those ruts so much in the winter. Thats one of my biggest fears driving these days...my truck catches the ruts like crazy and buck me around. I'm glad he's ok.

The roads are pretty bad right now. A lot of fresh snow up here and temps right around freezing has made it pretty slick. I slid off the road at about 20mph yesterday. Just driving along leaving a friend's house on a back road and the truck slid to the side enough to catch the edge of the ditch and got sucked in. I was making pretty good progress in 4 low with the rear diff locked, A-TRAC and TREDs but had a stranger drive by and give me a tug which made it a lot faster.

Dang. Well if anyone does get stuck pm me, if I'm anywhere close to my truck I'll try and lend a hand. Won't be dailying it, but most nights or mornings can help.

I wonder if we should create a list of people willing do this?

Interesting experience today at fred Meyer....noticed a sketchy looking dude driving a beat up early 2000s single cab chevy/GMC. I ran his plate and it came back as a 2014 quad cab chevy. Called the cops as the two people went into the store. 15 minutes go by and a random third person (tweakin' hard) comes by and tries to get in the passenger door. Ends up getting in the driver side and unlocking the doors so he could go back around to get in the passenger side.

In the process he put a backpack in the bed of the truck and kept getting in/out and digging through the bag. Cops show up and cuff him. Then I noticed the two original people and ran up to the cops and told them who they were so they cuffed them too!

But when I got out of the store the two were out of cuffs and were digging through the truck while the cops waited in their cars. So I doubt they were arrested, but the other guy definitely was. It felt so good to see that happen haha.

TLDR; Tweakers are all over Anchorage, keep an eye out for odd looking vehicles. This is the second I've found in a week, although I didn't call the other one in.

I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
So I've been beating up folks on shipping. If you have anything big or heavy that needs to move up, check with husky haulers. I have a double size pallet coming up for $500. Next best deal I got was over twice that.

If GTF (or another shop) can order things on a freight order its pretty reasonable in my experience, shipping things up by themselves is what will cost ya.

If we could have a few weeks like this, with lots of sunshine and no rain, during summer, I would be so happy...

Pelfreybilt arranged all the shipping. I bought the bumper and sliders on sale which is what made them affordable. I saved about $100 from the normal full price and shipping costs to a lower 48 address.

I decided against the clear bra...bought me a beater with a heater instead. I've seen the work CCA does, and they're hands down the best in town. Took a chance at Distinctive Ride on KGB...great job on the tint.
