Updated OP with some photos of new start up and screen off images

You can follow this guide to change the images which is super easy. Other tips: resize the photos to a 1.669:1 aspect ratio (1803x1080, 4032x3024, 2722x1631, 885x530, etc), ensure the photos are under 5mb in size, save the photos as .jpeg file type, and format the USB drive to MS-DOS (FAT) for Mac users. Here's a link to some minimalistic HUD/GUI-type images that I compiled that can be used.

Truck looks beautiful. I'm not a fan of the color normally but it looks great on yours

Thanks, I really appreciate it! I thought the blazing blue pearl was too light compared to my 2nd gen nautical blue metallic which I loved but it's really grown on me and I'm really happy now that I have all of the black accents.

Good looking truck. Man how the hell did you get them to knock off 6k off MSRP? That's unheard of. Are you a Toyota Employee?

Thanks! I am not. I haggled intensely for a white Sport 2wd non-tech and had a few dealerships continuing to beat each other's prices and it got down to each dealer throwing in extra parts to sweeten the deal (I got the truck with a Pro grill for 1/2 cost so around $180 ish before tax from this dealer which happened to be my local one). That would have been a dealer trade since they didn't have one on-site. And they would have done 4-5k off MSRP which was already an insane deal and better price than any dealer in Florida (I emailed probably 50 dealerships over a few weeks..) When I showed up, they really wanted me to take something off the lot to save them the hassle of doing a dealer trade to get the truck from across the state. They had this blue Sport 4wd non-tech that arrived literarlly the day before. I told them I'd consider it (I really wanted blue and 4wd) but I don't want to pay much more than we initially agreed for the 2wd. To get me out of there with a truck they already had, they ended up agreed to 6k off after the sales mgr had to call several times to the general sales mgr. It was also right before Xmas so right before a holiday and at the end of the year so both reasons for them to try to make another sale but also do it on the spot. Lastly, I agreed to only put enough down so that I still finance 20k along with using their horrible interest rates through Toyota finance. There's no pre-payment penalties after 6 months so I'll just refinance with a local credit union after 6 payments. Normally they'd plan to make back a few thousand of that 6k back in interest on the loan if I kept it through them but I'll refinance as soon as I can. I've spent a lot in parts now that I've had the truck but I help justify it by rememberin the deal I got :D

Updated OP with the latest and greatest! Installed sliders, a front skid, lamin-x fog covers, some stickers in the bed, and made a friend with a 4Runner Pro. Busy and productive weekend.

For the more time-extensive modifications I've done, I made separate posts in relevant threads with the details and photos to keep this insanely long post from even more unruly. They are linked in the relevant sections of the OP but I also included them below:

Your taco keeps looking better and better. Wish I could afford new tires/wheels right now. Improves the look so much. Ever thought about color matching the letters on your pro grill? I just did mine and I'm liking it a lot.

I was happy to get rid of the VW. Great car but I missed the Tacoma I had before it. The amount of money in the buyback was amazing. I ended up driving the car for free for a year and put 45k miles on it due to a long commute and still made $1-2k in the buyback. You'll still love the SR, especially since you're going for the 4x4. Check in with @moe2o4, he has an SR and has done awesome work on it!

Thanks! I really appreciate it. You could always start with tires and then do wheels. You could also consider cheaper tires. I put 265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer ATP tires on my 2nd gen for $384 (these 265/70R17 KO2s were $766). They didn't look as nice and rode a little rougher but they still performed well, looked good, and were insanely cheaper. There are a lot of good options out there. Your truck looks great! I think the white letters on the Pro grill looks really good on the white truck. I'd consider going that route as well with the white. I'm apprehensive doing that with the blue, I feel like it would be too much and a little gaudy. I was even nervous that I wouldn't like the subtle blue accents that I did in the wheels and front skid plate but I'm happy with them and think it's still tasteful. Blue on the grill maybe over the top.. I don't know, it could look good but I think I'm going to hold off for now. :)

Thanks! Yeah tires will definitely be the next upgrade. Love the KO2s but a little more than I want to spend at the moment. Debating between the general grabber AT2s or the Hankook dynapro ATMs.

I have another question about the wheels. My stock wheels are 16 and when I called the dealer to get a price he said there is only 16s. What am I missing? are these wheels for the four Runner? Just trying to clear this up

    Thank You
