True, but you don't see this very much in the US as a result. :notsure:

    Not always! LOL...
To be clear... for Double Cab Tacomas, the standard bed is 5 ft. and the "long bed" model is a 6 ft. bed. We DCs don't have anything called a "short bed", LOL!

When I had an Xtra Cab (now called an Access Cab), the standard bed was 6 ft. and the "long bed" was 7 ft. I am not sure if Toyota uses the term "short bed" at all?

I really wanted a Highlux but between the import taxes and the general pain in the ass of it all I had to
settle for a tacoma. Both are made in the same damn factory.

Hilux not Highlux. They are made in Japan not North America like Tacomas are.

I talked to a dealer in Mexico a couple of years ago, he said they were made there. According to multiple web sites
Hilux's are made it turns out in Aussie land, Thailand and a couple of other countries. 326,000 pesos worth for a double cab.

Perhaps... I thought the Hilux love was because they were 100% Japanese, along with solid front axles?

    Where is my DCLB4x46MT? :pout:

And why do I have to get TRD with upgrade package or TRD Pro to get a DC with 6MT? Wtf? SR maybe? No? :frusty:

Subaru makes some of the best cars that are are out there. If they made a decent truck I would buy it.

The latest version is made with the same engine as the 2015 tacoma.

You don't always have to buy new. Shop for an older model, you may be surprised at what you find and you'll save a pantload of cash....
