Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I have the same Honda CRF250L and I have a BMW G650GS. All I can say is ride a big ADV bike and then jump on the Honda - it will feel light as a feather. I used to think it was a heavy pig until I started riding a bigger bike. The Honda could definitely be lighter but in comparison to others it ain't half bad.

Anyone on here have a Super Sherpa? I don't see to many of them around. The 250l is definitly a heavy bike and is underpowered in my opinion. My buddy has one that he has done crazy mods to so that it can "wheelie". Here's some pictures of my adventures in the mountains IMG_0239.jpgIMG_0554.jpgIMG_0559.jpg

Nice! I'm getting another DR350 this weekend. I'll be listing the old one for sale. They're old but have really grown on me!

I love my Sherpa. I don't think I would trade it for anything. I've got 5000 miles on it now and it's never missed a beat. I've got it tore apart right now to go with the 80mm big bore kit. It should be here this week sometime and hopefully on for the weekend. It's driving me crazy having it sitting in the garage with the sunny weather we are having right now.

Anyone know of any other good dual sport forums that are active? Specifically in the PNW, I've been a member of advrider for a while but I still can't post or do anything on any of the forums which is kind of stupid.

They are. But there isn't a whole lot of aftermarket support. Still a fantastic bike

I'm going to take a 4 day ADV training course so I can get better acquainted with dirt (I live about an hour from one of the best riding areas in the USA, I should probably try going there, right?)
My dirt gear is kinda... not much.
    1. I have an Arai XD4 helmet. Should I get goggles? Are there really any differences when it comes to goggles? Local shop wants to sell me 100% Accuri, price was something like $65
    2. I'm pretty sold on the idea of knee braces. The last time I took a class was before I bought proper boots, and I wanged my ankle well enough that $3,000 made its way out of my HSA. I'd rather buy gear this time. Reviews online point to Asterisk or POD.
    3. Elbow pads? I have a street jacket at the moment. I tried some Troy Lee E5550 long elbow guards on for size, seemed nice. Hated the feel of Fox Titan Pro
I have a tendency to gear whore so reel me in if I'm getting nuts.

I absolutely love my Spy Optic Goggles. I wear them with my dualsport helmet with a tinted lens. Its nice not having to worry about sunglasses. I can run the tinted goggles during the day and take them off when it gets dark and I still have the clear helmet visor
