This is my first truck so maybe that's part of it. I didn't know what to expect but the brakes seem really squishy.

Can't diagnose remotely. If you're concerned, get it looked at.

I don't think I've noticed the pedal being squishy, though there's more travel than you might be used to from a car so it could be a matter of interpretation.

If you have a safe place to do so, try a 30mph panic stop and see how it feels. shopping mall / 24-screen movie theater parking lots in the early morning are good candidates if they don't have a ton of light posts.

My brakes aren't squishy. I hate squishy brakes.

Wish I got a Tundra instead... does anyone know if they have the same annoying "clunk" and harsh brakes when coming to a stop?

What sucks is I was really thinking about a Tundra but didn't like the 13 MPG. I got this Tacoma and put a three inch lift and bigger tires. Now it sits about what a tundra does and it gets about 14 MPG. I could have had a bigger bed and maybe a transmission that wasn't junk. I really do love everything about this one except the transmission.

I always say to my wife that my next truck will be red. Although I settle in for a white one. What a big mistake! And the more I look at LB, I'm starting to hit myself for getting the SB. Oh well..

Regrets? Not getting JBL and on some days not getting Quicksand.

Can someone confirm I've never sat in a Tacoma with a moon roof.

Is a Tacoma with a moon roof really shorter in height than a Tacoma WITHOUT one? I'm 6'3 and really wanted a Tacoma with a moon roof but now after hearing that I'm glad I didn't.. can anyone confirm?

I wish they made a four banger TRDOR or PRO, 4.10 gears, and the 5 speed MT, but happy with what I have. Someone will sell me their 4.10s and e-locker cheap at some point gen years from now.

I had bought a 16 black Tacoma TRD sport 4x2. I ended up getting rid of it and picking 17 Quicksand OR 4x4 with Audio/Tech package upgrade with moon roof.

No and yes. No, the trucks are the same height with or without moonroof. Yes, the moonroof equipped trucks have less interior headroom inside due to the sunroof mechanism.

Last spring I drove from Dallas to Greensboro, NC and back. Trust me, the roads in LA aren't that bad. Well, except Shreveport. Sucks ass getting through there if you forget to take the loop.

@TejasTaco there's a big difference between Louisiana and Lower Alabama and Los Angeles... Just sayin'...

Edit: okay maybe not as much difference between Louisiana and Lower Alabama, but still... :p )

No regrets. I waffled over short/long bed but then I thought to myself about all the things I've hauled - and a lot of that was in a short bed that I borrowed. With the wheelbase being way way longer on the long bed, and planning to do some offroading in this in the future...that made my mind up.

Well looks like my mind was made for me so to speak. My Sport delivery was delayed significantly but my dealer had a White DCSB Off-road available that they were able to do a bit better on on the price. Been driving around since Saturday and I'm loving it! The shorter box does make it a fair bit easier driving in Downtown Vancouver and parking it in my condo's underground.
Hopefully get to take it out and gett'r dirty this weekend!
