Curse of Oak Island - History Channel treasure hunt

Let's hope so. Those pieces of metal looked very unique and according to Dr. Lori they were corner pieces for chests.

 

The coin from earlier in the season? If so then I totally agree.

 

Geesh...just looked at the History channel lineup and looks like three hours of Rick and Marty Lagina.

I'm gonna chill a lot of beers so that I can get through all this.

 

I feel like I've seen this episode already.

Ha! But seriously...Ph.D in art history and that qualifies her as an antiquities expert? Me thinks not.

I thought something was not right with her. They might as well have the Long Island medium as an expert as well.

IMHO Dr. Lori knows how to read articles/books and do interwebs searches on anything that she comes across. Doesn't take a Ph.D.

If you notice she answers things in a way kind of like those psychics.

 

Notice how Dr. Lori asked them the date of the coin? Then she provided a convenient timeframe of the spike.

I'm officially done with this show.

 

I said that before but got bored & watched it some more.

 

The network wanted to work with the owner of Prometheus since Ancient Aliens is such a success. This is the show they came up with. Always knew it would be tough watching a number of older rich people stare at holes, but the island itself is the most fascinating part. They keep trying different ways to get at the Money Pit expending the least amount of $$, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. They're legit trying to unlock what others demolished back in the 1960's.

Just noticed that post about tar.... some folks guess that the oaks on the island were planted to repair ships. Any seafarer back then had to pass along the American coast and up along NS, so this was a stopping point. There's probably a ton of treasure buried around there from other ships.

 

I'm going on one of the island tours this September, I'll bring a shovel with me and find whatever there is to find myself.

 

Send pics especially if they are pulling out the Ark of the Covenant....unless of course this happens....well actually get pics of that too and post back here.
