    Hey guys,

Have been researching forever and can't freaking decide what to do. The pros and cons for it all seem to even each other out and it seems to be a toss up of people either liking one setting while others hate it. My rear is sitting at 23 inches, maybe a hair over and I just want to level my truck out. I am thinking of setting the billies at the 2.5 setting. Will this level the truck out or will this give me an ass heavy look? Would like to set them at 1.75 for the ride quality, but I don't like the factory rake look and I am afraid thats what I will get with that setting. Any input will help. I just want a level appearance and decent ride. Ride right now sucks so I think either setting will be night and day over stock with the shitty front spacer that I have in there right now. Wish I could afford OME 885s but the budget doesn't fit that right now.

    Thanks!

1.75" is great. The ride is very nice. I have an icon 3 leaf AAL in the rear. IMG_1590.jpg

2.5 with a 23" rear will likely be nose up depending on how you measured.

Just went out to the garage...

With an access cab, my back end is at 23.5(as close to the center of the hub as I could eyeball to fender flare) and my front 5100s are set at 1.75". The bubble on the level placed upon the bed rails just barely touches the back end(ass heavy) side of the lines. It's essentially as level as it will ever get.

specs are 4x4, 2008 access cab, 2" toytec AAL, billsteins at 1.75 on the front.

What are your ride heights before and after? Nice truck though, I like the stance. Is your rear a little lower than the front? Thanks!

Ok, sounds like we have similar ride heights in the rear so 1.75 setting should be what I'm looking for. I've got an 05 4x4 access cab so I think we should be pretty similar all said and done. What's your front ride height? Will this setup allow for 32 or 33 inch tires? Thanks!

I'll have to get my measurements now. I never took any before measurements.

Yes the rear is a little lower now that I added the cap. Rear springs are shot.

I actually have all new suspension getting ready to go on because my current setup is tired. I have 6112s for the front & Dakar leafs and new 5100s for the rear.

I posted this in another thread, but my stock rear with new tsb leaf springs is at 23" and front on stock trd off road coils with 5100's set to 0.85" is at 21.5". It looks level, any higher would be nose high IMO and I'm glad I didn't go with the 1.75" setting in my particular case.

Since you have Camburg UCAs (per your mod list) I definitely suggest you save up another $167 and get OME 885 coils off Amazon and pair them with the 5100s. I think it's definitely worth it since you wouldn't have to worry about alignment issues. But you'll also have to save up even more to raise the rear and get new rear shocks and you can't forget a spacer to correct Taco lean... Things can get expensive quick lol I only suggest this because I settled and just got some OME 884s and regretted it and finally got the UCAs and 885s that I originally wanted all along

But if you are truly only going for a level look regardless of what other mods you have, 1.75 will make it look just a hair squatting. The 0.85 might be your best bet for a level look

EDIT: Never mind, just saw your other post.

That's awesome!! I've had them and 5100s for a few weeks and I couldn't be happier with the ride

Here is stock rear, and 1.75 up front

Any load in the back and she is squatting.

About to do 887 coils and UCAs with the ICON AAL in the back to do a full three inch.

From what I've read and seen 1.75" on a double cab is similar to 0.85" on an access cab. Double cab weighs more and settles the springs more. I read page after page before setting mine to what I chose.

So you already have a 3leaf AAL installed on your factory leaf pack? And you want to remove that AAL to level the truck?

Mine was level at 0.85" before getting the recall springs. It's now sagged in the rear and looks a little nose up, though I haven't measured.

Hello, thanks for the reply.. The answer to that is no. Currently my truck still has the stock suspension. I have in my garage 5100s for the front and toytec 3 leaf AAL for the rear. I am also getting a camper shell. So im just trying to figure out what configuration of those things will get me level or even a tiny rake. i just dont want my ass sagging with the shell.

    Thanks for any help!
