Need some assistance here. I need to replace the license plate bulbs with some LED ones. Anyone know how to remove the bulbs step by step? I was trying to figure it out, but was unsuccessful.

    Thanks.

Someone else on here was just changing them out, I recall them bitching that there was not much room to reach inside there around the tow hitch.

They're a fucking nightmare to get out. You need either tiny elf hands or loooooong needle nose pliers. Best thing to do is get a long flat head screw driver and push against the light housing from the inside of the bumper. Then do the other side. You'll see the housing has little compression clips. The whole housing will push thru the bumper with the light plugged in. Then you can unplug it from the outside. Hope this makes sense.

Any of you noticed at night, the license plate lights would also light up the middle of the tailgate and you read ACOM on the tailgate instead of TACOMA

Yeah, there's absolutely not room up in there. I was trying to squeeze the housing with my hands, but its just hard to get in there. I will need to buy me a long screw driver like you said.

Would a Mobtown rear bumper solve that issue with difficulty replacing silly little lights?

Honestly, yes haha. It reuses the factory housing and bulbs but you can actually replace the bulb when it burns out in seconds.

Just did the swap to LED's on the license plate lights and what a effin pain in the pooper! Normally my ham hands are quite useful but not in this case AND I managed to blow a fuse. Anyone know if the 7.5A labeled "Tail" is the correct one in the box?
