I don't remember how long my lower links are. I think they are close to 50" after everything was said and done. But the goal was certainly to have them as long as possible.

One more thing marked off of the list. In retrospect I shoulda done this a little different but I'll make it work. THis will be the main hoop for what will become a fabricated bed and ExoCage. The hoop will get tied into the sliders later

Just looking for some input from you guys. Was talking about using the f150 gas tank which seems like a simple swap but what would be the advantages and disadvantages to using a fuel cell? I did some looking and seems I would need to make the toyota sending unit work in the fuel cell to be able to pass smog. I think it would be cleaner and help with space thats the only reason for the question.

Seems they are mostly using it as a secondary tank. This would be my only tank. Are you going to have to have your truck smogged? In NV, mine wont pass with the check engine light or any light on and trying to keep it street legal and want to make sure I can make a fuel cell pass.

That was my orginal plan was to just build a box around the f150 or tacoma tank but the truck may become more than a trail rig one day and would be one less thing to change later on.

This is the color it will probably end up. Monstaliner Sans Panties with the tube work in black. Kinda of debating doing the tube and bumpers in a dark brown, but will see.

The interior trim being grey from the factory kinda limits me there. I have a good upholstery guy a couple hours away that can do pretty much anything with a sewing machine. But changing the dash and door panel colors is kinda out.DSC06724.jpg

What does interior color have to do with the outside color?

Not much, just tired of the grey. Want something different. And since the whole rest of the truck is getting redone, it might as well too. The drivers seat looks like someones dog chewed on it, but I'm sure it's just from sliding in and out.

It'll have to stay grey though. I'll probably monstaler the floors a new console out of a rocket can I have laying around. Just for something a little different.

Man, I have to say that I admire your tenacity. You bought a truck already SASed and ended up redoing absolutely everything; frame, suspension, upcoming engine swap, etc.; and now to also include interior and paint. I would have given up a long time ago.

For all practical purposes having a rig to start with was not even necessary seems like :D I'm not even gonna ask how much you have invested so far in time, money and beer

I got extended lenght SS braided lines from a JK rubicon through 4wheel parts. They were on sale and they work :D

Thank you. I've always wanted a fully custom vehicle. I figure this came along to give me this opportunity. May never get the chance again. It won't be perfect but it'll be mine.

I'm not adding up what I've spent. Don't even wanna know honestly.

Naww not really. Even if I could hindsight is always 20/20. A lot of what I've bought has been steel and I get a good deal on it.

Even if I could I really have no interest in a buggy at this point. I still want a somewhat streetable, mostly fullbodied truck. Otherwise I'd be dovetailing it and going full hydro.

I'm still not sold on full hydro for something that's gonna see a fair amount of street use. Eddy is a few weeks away from finishing his 4link, full hydro conversion but by the time it's done I should have all my parts ordered so it'll be too late.
