    Hello everyone.
I'm Kurtis, I just joined this forum here. First off I'm 22 from Arlington, WA. Work as a contractor for comcast, doing Linework.
I recently bought a new house, 2 puppies, and my brand spankin' new 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road.
I took this picture up around Mt. Pilchuck when I was seeing how well this truck really does in off-road conditions.

Welcome, I'm currently a technician with Spectrum on the Charter side. I will be headed to texas to do linework on the power side pretty soon.

Oh, wow, a while ago, my dad was over in Eastern Washington changing out old Charter amplifiers for 1ghz ones.
It's a pretty good trade considering it bought me my new truck and first house before I was 30 with no college or schooling outside of high school.

Ya I went from a Disconnect tech, to installs, to trouble calls all in about 10 months. I wanted to go to the construction side, setting poles, and stringing wire, but I got an offer with a power company and I went to a trade school to get in with power.

Ah, yes, I can imagine you make a lot more $$ in the power side versus, an install tech. My dad got me in hanging strand, coax, fiber, and splicing Coax also. It keeps me busy about 60 hours a week, and we do a lot of night cuts since Comcast wants offline customers in the day time limited.
I'm considering going back to school to do electricity and get in with the local IBEW, but it just doesnt seem possible with a mortgage and truck payment.

Nice, its a good trade man. whether it be power or telecommunications. I wish I started doing it with hanging strand and fiber, its more related work to power line work than installing cable at a customers house

It's true, but we have different processes entirely when it comes to daily work, so I wouldnt dwell on it too much.
