@Zandroid if the linked bulbs are what you put in your low beams, that is your problem. It says in the description those bulbs are for daytime running lights (DRL) and or fog lights. They only have 1200 lumens output, and the design of the bulb is all wrong for projector housings. LED low beam replacements are 4000+ lumens.

If the tape trick doesn't work on those front map light bulbs take a small zip tie and place it around the bulb then pull it straight out...

Honestly do yourself a favor and go straight to HIDs. They'll have a better throw and better light output. Most have found that LED's are about the same or slightly better than stock due to the directional nature.

If this hasn't been posted yet the 2016/17 MT map light center console is held in place by four red plastic fasteners. The bulbs can be removed from behind.

    Guys,

I know a lot of people are having issues finding the right festoon bulb for their inside rear map light. I placed an order and bought the brand that's on the OPs shopping list. It just doesn't fit without mashing it in there(felt like I was gonna break the bracket). I just ordered a 30mm Philips LED from Amazon. It has the unique "pointed" caps that look extremely close to the OEM. Once I get it installed I'll let you all know if it's a good substitute.

For what it's worth I've used Philips LEDs in all my interior light sockets, my low beam headlights and my fog lights with no issues at all. 2016 TRD OR. Great product, great name and great warranty.

    Cheers

@econwatch!!! Thanks for sharing...I'll second your post and say this is much easier than fishing the bulbs out of the receptacle underneath the light covers!

@obz. Just installed this morning and it fits perfect. And the bulb temperature matches the front lights from the OP posted.

@RCrumb -- Philips works great. Now a big fan! Thanks for sharing.

Installed OP's recommended leds in map, plate, and reverse locations. All worked out great. Picture of plate lights is new led in left. Picture of reverse is through the lens close up. Cool little light.
