hmmm.. interesting. never heard of it before, just did some reading and sounds beneficial for sure. the process doesnt sound bad either. I need to remove the Thermostat to drain whats in the block, but I was planning on swapping to the URD 170 T-stat.. perfect time to do that too.. might as well..

    thanks man!

@Torspd @MrCrowntown any input on the Evans Coolant?

lol. thanks man. its just right around the block so going to get it isnt bad.

we just started stocking it down here. Its def expensive and the process is a little harder than you would think and the prep fluid is expensive but its pretty badass. We've been converting a ton of fleet vehicles and all our shop builds to it lately with good results. Not having to worry about cavitation or internal corrosion is nice and since theres no boilover the coolant works more effectively at pulling heat away from the block since there's no vapor barrier. And you never have to add coolant again. We have actually seen coolant temps rise on most of our conversions since its that much more effective at drawing heat off the block.

It is definitely a very interesting idea, I personally have no first hand experience with it but am now very curious lol @XPOTRPR

Less overall stress. Have to change the pump to reduce its flow speed and pressure. Have to VERY thoroughyl flush out all of the old coolant. It has been proven to have better cooling efficiency.

Larger radiator will help a lot. I am about to send one to a manufacturer to make a larger one for the Tacoma. Unlike my last one.

Photo dump/Trip Report from yesterday's trip to Sedona with the wife @ItsLydiaYo. Pictures pulled from both our phones.

Great time as always. It was nice to get out and ditch work for a day. We drove up in the morning, got stopped by Highway Patrol just outside Camp Verde... first time I have ever been stopped for my tint, on any of my vehicles. Good guy, got a fix it ticket with some useful hints and tips per him. :)

Ran Broken Arrow since its been a few years. They widened it up so it's easier now for sure. A couple tighter sections I remembered witha tight turn around a rock is all wide enough for a fullsize, plus some. Despite that, it's still a fun, scenic trail. Played around a bit at some points..

    20170301_105119.jpg 20170301_105347.jpg 20170301_105405.jpg 20170301_105443.jpg 20170301_105453.jpg 20170301_105456.jpg 20170301_105707.jpg 20170301_110306.jpg 20170301_110318.jpg 20170301_110457.jpg 20170301_110514.jpg 20170301_110658.jpg

Tried every line I could come up with.. eazy peazy.

Submarine rock.. the place was empty! It was so nice being up there all by ourselves.. at first.. then the Jeep tours started rolling through, including a Driver in training, was fun watching them. lol

    20170301_112028.jpg 20170301_112050.jpg 20170301_112109.jpg 20170301_112230.jpg 20170301_112301.jpg 20170301_112326.jpg 20170301_112525.jpg 20170301_112615.jpg 20170301_112719.jpg

    shit...

    20170301_113018.jpg 20170301_114320.jpg

Continued on out to a spot we realized we never checked out before, the end of Broken Arrow..

    20170301_115924.jpg 20170301_120008.jpg 20170301_120024.jpg 20170301_120236.jpg 20170301_120302.jpg 20170301_120601.jpg

The Jeeps were hot on our trail.. so we ran.. again..

    20170301_120550.jpg

    20170301_121623.jpg 20170301_121642.jpg 20170301_121748.jpg 20170301_121812.jpg 20170301_121900.jpg 20170301_122014.jpg

We got to a section and went up one of the obstacles the reverse direction, made a few of those damn Jeep tours wait.. lol Took a few attempts due to the wet conditions, but picked a better line the 3rd attempt and made it up, all while 3 or 4 Tours watched. After taking in the views and watching the Trainee Jeeper go down the obstacle 4 or 5 times, a family from Vermont rolled through in a rental Rubicon. Great people and loved wheeling, had Toyota's back home. We spent some time playing on the little obstacles after I mentioned to him I went up it, then continued on out and parted ways.

    20170301_122250.jpg 20170301_122252.jpg 20170301_122335.jpg 20170301_123034.jpg

We then decided to check out Soldiers Pass. We've never been and its definitely a fun trail. stopped by Sink Hole.

    20170301_135239.jpg 20170301_135359.jpg 20170301_135706.jpg 20170301_140202.jpg 20170301_140216.jpg 20170301_140222.jpg 20170301_140317.jpg 20170301_140355.jpg

    more Jeeps...

Then continued on to the end of the trail. Hiked about a half mile and turned around as we just were not equipped for a hike. Turned around, and headed out. On the way out, we ran into our Jeep friends and had to squeeze off the trail for them to pass. They found they're way to Soldiers pass after checking out Schnebly and realizing that was a mistake. lol

    20170301_150923.jpg

We stopped at 7 pools on the way out to see what it was about.. didnt expect what was there. way cool! The family Jeep rolled through once again and I finally snagged a pic. was a nice Jeep for a rental. lol

    20170301_151051.jpg 20170301_153434.jpg 20170301_153555.jpg 20170301_153613.jpg 20170301_153656.jpg 20170301_153659.jpg 20170301_154129.jpg 20170301_155207.jpg 20170301_155242.jpg

Stopped by the old stomping grounds for break on the way out.. It was a great trip. not difficult, just fun and relaxing and just what we needed.

they're surprisingly holding up really well too! I was in all honestly expecting them to get destroyed the first time they saw dirt/sand. I figured they were going to get chipped to shit.. lol time will tell though.

    I appreciate it man.

If I would recommend one thing.. Maybe save up and buy new calipers and start with those. might save the headache of cleaning and hoping for a good finish. I also did a few coats of clear.

I would have loved to do an upgrade, but just couldnt justify it. rotors, pads, and some pretty'n up will have to suffice.
