Roof rack finally dropped off to powder coater to get its color on!

Ordered about 60 #s of aluminum

New lightbar for said roof rack is in the back seat of the truck!

Now I just need a power/switch source...

 

What color roof rack you went with?

 

I choose to go with white. Just be differnt than the average

 

Got the Prisnu rack mounted up finally!
Decided to go color matched. I love it!
I need to get a lightbar mounted though. She hums pretty loud without it



Also mounted up my Plano case! I prob went overkill with how many bolts I threw on it but oh well shit won't move.

Nice yeah i followed you back! your truck is sick and seeing tacomas like yours and others helps me feel okay when i spend money on a vehicle lol

 

It's a love hate spending money on it but my truck is my hobby, it's expensive but I love it so its justifying

 

That's the way I'm looking at it. Safer than a dirt bike and I can cart everyone around.

 

uuuuggggh.. it hums because 1) you need to lower the front deflector down to the roof, and 2) you need the weatherstripping on said deflectors lip. the weatherstrip actually creates a seal between deflector and roof.

 

Two very strong points!

Yeahh I wasnt sure if it would clear on the lowest but I saw one the other day that was all the way down so I'll do that an order the weather stripping too from him.

 

So lots of updates to come to this thing, been a bumpy 2 months with the truck I thought that I was going to dump it after a cylinder 6 misfire. I attempted to fix it myself so I replaced all 6 spark plugs and all 6 ignition coils, put the truck back together and still misfiring. So after almost 2 moths sitting in the garage I decided it was beyond my ability to fix and to the dealer it went. Turned out to be a minor issue the dealer ended up fixing it and eating the cost to do all the tests!
The issue was internal on the supercharger. An O-ring had failed allowing the intercooler so slowly leak into the cylinder. It was small amounts but significant enough to cause an issue.


Now for the good stuff! while the truck was down i received some goodies. My aluminum @Pelfreybilt bumper came in and I immediately took it to the powder-coater to get it coated

got it back a few days looking BEAUTIFUL!!


Before mounting the bumper i painted all the components behind the grill/bumper black for a sleeker look


i also had the Baja Designs lights color matched to the bumper


bumpers all mounted up!



Next was the Air Flow Snorkel!




And finally all of it together

 

Makes me want to not put the arb bumper on the new rig, and get a pelfreybilt bumper.
