Does anyone know the guy that sells Tacoma trucks in Jacksonville, FL?
I was looking at a couple he has for sale, but he seems a little shady. He says he is not a dealer, but has a dozen or so for sale. Here are a few. All of his adds are a basic vague description and phone number.

Looks shady but you never know. The prices aren't so low that it looks like a scam.
He may just buy them at auctions and resell.
The steering wheel was replaced in the 1st link you posted so that one may have been wrecked and the airbags deployed. :notsure:
I would call and talk to him if you're thinking about buying. If he tries to get you to wire money or something then you'll know it's a scam.

why don't you post in the Fl forum, find a couple of Jax members, and see if they'd enjoy checking him out 'live'?

It's the only way you are going to really know, barring going there yourself.

I'm not sure how to move the thread. I have talked to him a couple times, he says he's not a dealer. I know in Georgia you can only sell so many cars a year without a dealer license.

Same in Fl. re the licence.

You can start a conversation with a mod and ask them to move it. Or create a new thread.

Good luck. I'm over 4hrs from Jax, or I'd volunteer to check him out.

First link is not a 2007 based on looking at front end, its a 13-15, unless it was converted which could possibly mean wrecked.
All the other trucks just based on appearance don't seem to sketch but you never know. I'd run a carfax or autocheck on them if it were me. Have mechanic check them out.

I noticed something looked out of place, also another person pointed out the steering wheel being different.

I live in Jacksonville and have met this guy when i was looking to buy a 1st gen. He loves Tacomas. He sometimes has a T100 or 4Runner for sale too. Not sure where he gets the trucks from but he told me he doesn't get them from auction. he knows his stuff and most of the 1st gens he has always have around 150k miles. Some people invest their money in real estate or stocks, he invests in Toyotas.

It is odd that all of his trucks have between 140k-160k no matter what year they are. I think I'll keep looking.

Beware of salvage titles. That's big business in JAX with shady used car dealers/craigslist sales.
