I can do that if I have to, if I drive at 38MPH you can definitely feel the difference between 2WD and 4WD. It's not as severe as some others i've read about, so I know they're going to point at my tires right off the bat.

One good thing is I did bring it to them for this issue already when I was in warranty, and when I called toyota corporate they were said "we see you brought it to them in May for this same issue" so hopefully they'll be more receptive this time now that it's coming from corporate. They also told me if they dealer said no it would be kicked back to the regional manager, so we'll see. Worth a shot, in my book

I've noticed a loud clunk from my front end while reversing after installing this bushing back in October. It's a loud metallic "ping" and I was just curious if anyone else has heard this or if it's at all related to the CV axle?

I'm pretty sure he was referring to my attempt at getting the dealer to replace my bushing outside of warranty being a complete failure.

Good to hear you've had no issues though. ECGS or TSB bushing?

I had the brake noise aswell and it only happened going from reverse to forward so that's probably it. Its the pads shifting on the pin the ride on, if you take the pin out and lube it heavy with silocone brake grease it goes away immediately.

Yeah, I got this going on and that doesn't bother me as much. This is a whole nother' sound that's louder. It doesn't "ping", clunk, or whatever you want to call it until i've already backed up a good distance. That distance varies anywhere from1-10 yards :notsure:. It sounds like it's coming from the front end or possibly the front driveshaft, though. It's bothersome.

Thanks @pm321. Installed ecgs bushing today w no major issues. Original needle bearing had a piece snap off that I couldn't pick up but the magnetic pickup tool did the job.

I am waiting to hear back from a tw member who pmd me about the tool. If he no longer needs then I can ship to you. If not he should be able to ship to u when done if needed.
Thanks to @Unchained 5150 maybe this ecgs removal and install tool will eventually have the most miles travelled of all tools being passed around on tw
