Does anyone any have tips or tricks or know if this plastic piece is removable to then reinstall over the top? Having trouble getting it to seat under the back part of that piece. Tried using the provided tool to no luck. I had no trouble getting them under the headrest mounts. IMG_1097.jpg

Use the tool that came with the covers. Manually donthwbtwo closer corner as shown in your picture. Now with your tool, try to work either clockwise or counter

That piece kicked my ass and won a few times. In the end I used the tool as mentioned above after I got the front two tabs locked in and then tucked in the rear tabs under the actual seat fabric. The tool allowed me to compress the seat cover enough to latch the tabs. You can also remove or undo the belt while you locking in the front tabs to allow slack to work with.

Looks good but nobody uses the center belt here so its decoration.

That's what i figured. I'll just find some more patience after doing the fronts this weekend! These covers are really nice.

I fiiiiiiiiiiinally got around to installing that last piece (Had everything else but the 60% back seat), Was easier than the others. My big tip for anyone installing these, definitely roll them up halfway inside out and then put them on, and lay them in your driveway for a good half hour to an hour so the leather is warmed up and stretchy.

Just installed mine! Black insert, black body, with beige stitching to match my quicksand truck. Well worth the wait and sore fingers after the install! It totally changes the look of the interior :D

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party and don't feel like scanning 90+ pages of posts... so I'll just ask:

I want a "TRD" embroidery, does anyone have a good .jpg file to use? Where would one get one? thanks in advance.

There are a few videos you can watch. They will really help. Also if you can warm up the covers by sitting them in the sun really helps.

Uuuumm....It's 34 degrees here. Not going to warm the leather much.

That's the same temp I did mine. I just left each piece inside till I needed it. Took all the headrests inside n did them. I used a hair dryer to help get some of the big packing creases to start to come out. It helped a little but been told they will come out in time.

Glad you got it.. What we do, is install the covers.. and if for whatever reason that piece, isn't staying? Just come back a few weeks later.. and re-tighten all the covers. You can get a tighter pull, on the velcro that connects the bottom of this piece.. and the tighter fit will help that material tuck in and stay put under that plastic. It really does take 4 hands, to get the tightest pull on that piece at the bottom.. if you can have someone help you.. You'll see better results :) That's just from 7 years of install experience on this cover...

You don't need to be too crazy with heat.. Just leave them on installed in a few weeks from your truck heat being on, all the PVC creases will disappear.
