    I know, I know!
It's best you have two ramps, one for you to walk/push the bike, the other for the bike.
I have two aluminum which are foldable. Get yourself a good set of power ties too.

I picked up my friends R1200GS on Sunday so your Gixer will be fine. Given the distribution of weight your tail gate will not be impacted loading or unloading.

    Easy!

Most sport bikes only weigh ~425 lbs. I'm 100% confident the tailgate will hold the weight of the bike. Obviously not a sport bike but here's my dirt bike in the bed.

Get yourself a sheet of 3/4" or 1" plywood to lay in the bed and onto the Tailgate. Cut it to fit. Never worry again

I load my KTM on my tailgate all the time without a problem. Not as heavy as a sport bike though

I had a reinforced tail gate plate, but took it off--it was too heavy. The stock tail gate is plenty strong compared to the weak 2nd gen.

Eh its an older 125 sx 2 stroke. Wasn't too bad but I prefer KTM over anything. Except super bikes, then I go Honda.

With the long bed, I'm pretty sure you can load a bike diagonal and still close the tail gate, at least with a dirt bike you can.

If not, just load the bike on top of your ramps and that will distribute the weight across the bed, rather than having it focused on the tail gate. I think with the long bed you'll be okay though

Loaded my gsxr into my short bed a few times. I also regularly carry two dirtbikes which rest on the tailgate. No issues.

What does long bed vs short bed have to do with how much weight the tailgate can handle?
