Yeah I can't get my rear wheels to lock up on snow and ice. Pretty sure they aren't doing a damn thing. I'll have to look into that.

lspv issues asise, drum brakes suck anyway. disk brake conversion and aftermarket lspv and there's a world of difference

They could have been out of adjustment. My rears didnt work for 8yrs because my parking brake siezed up despite muliple time per day use, and evreything rusted into a big block of shit inside the drum. Now that the drums are gone i can get the rear discs to lock up if i put the lspv all the way up. I have it zip tied in the middle and they will just barely lock up in a panic stop empty.

First since you have a V6 I'm going to assume you have a 23 spline transmission output you're going to need an inchworm adapter for a 5vze(v6) a340 auto tranny to gear drive case. I bought the t-case setup off a guy used, but its a marlin crawler dual geared case setup with an MC07 adapter. I have 2.28 ratio in both the crawl box and rear case. All the mini-trucks that came with a solid front axle from the factory before the tacoma were passenger side drop. I'll send you some part numbers when I'm bored at work later.

Bought my coil-overs from a guy off pirate today. 2.5 14" kings w/ resi's. I honestly loved my kings on my truck now and they are cool guys to deal with. I went down to their shop to buy some parts last time I rebuilt my shocks and they let me walk through the back shop and see some stuff they were working on, the 4.0 bypasses were a skunkworks project back then. They even hooked my buddy and I up with some shirts that I still have.

@4Wheel Underground I'm assuming that 2.0 x 2.5 travel bump-stops will be enough since this thing will only have around 4-5" of up-travel anyway, or should I be looking for 4" travel ones. Also never got a set of cans with my 3 link setup. When everyone gets back from KOH I'm hoping to make some more progress, also my birthday is in a couple weeks so I have an easier time trying to justify buying things.

FWIW im going to be getting 2.0x2.0 bumps for my tacoma and i have the same, if not a bit less up travel as you. Going with 2.0s due to packageing and i wont be bombing down the trail so heat isnt a concern.

Got sick of my truck just disappointedly staring at me in the driveway so today I pulled the center console and did some fact finding as to where the hell the triple sticks are going to go tomorrow, im going to pull the transfer case this weekend hopefully, still not sure what I'm going to do for a crossmember/skidplate. Going to pull the exhaust from the cats back too, because its going to get replaced when it's all said and done anyway.

Went down to see Eric at yotamasters today to take my diffs in to get built. They have some awesome stuff at the shop right now - really clean 40, 80 and a fairly dirty 60, not to mention a couple of 4runners. Great guys to deal with, these will be the 3rd and 4th diffs they have built for me. I put a couple videos on instagram (in my sig). Pretty productive day.

it ain't that the worse feeling ever? These projects ALWAYS take longer than expected. It is like torture lol

At this rate you might want to learn how to set up your own gears :D

What gears did go with? i assume 5.29

    1)Haha yeah

    2) not worth buying all the tools needed- dial indicator, press, bearing puller sets. The last set of diffs they built me is going strong on 80k miles and just over 7 yrs ago. If I have to spend the money to have it done right then im okay with that. Jay let me sit in on the builds last time and they do things alittle different for longevities sake. I don't think its a secret but a little more toe and a little shallower, so your contact patch is on a little thicker part of the ring. It would definitly be a cool skill to have. My moms BF sets up his thirds. Running 4:88's right now and its been a good balance, I dont plan on going bigger than 35's ever so NBD. I still do alot of highway driving so I think it will be fine.

On another note, found out my transmission mount was seperated clean through on one side of the rubber. Probably the reason why the trans wasn't shifting very clean.
