Hey everyone, I got some new lights on the front of my truck recently and there was a lot of interest when I posted in my build so I thought I'd post about them here since these are truly the best lights I have found.

So I got the PX16's. Pumping 9000 effective (not raw) lumens per unit. The company specializes in commercially outfitting like alaskan fishing boats, mining etc. so these are the most waterproof/heavy duty/bad ass lights I've found on the market.

I was put in contact with the president of the company and he sent me this to post here:

"We initially designed and manufactured for Mining companies and their heavy equipment. We service some of the largest Mining companies in the world and sell 90% of our fixtures in Australia, Indonesia and in Canada. 5 years ago we started our introduction into the Marine/Maritime segments and are currently the biggest manufacturer of LED Mast lights on the Pacific Coast. We are undoubtably a mission-critical LED product solution where failure to our customers can have disastrous consequences.

We've only recently got involved in the Off-road / Expedition space this past year. We felt those vehicle owners that have invested a lot of their money in the best for their off-road vehicle might actually be interested in having the best LED lighting solution. We are watt for watt, using the same beam patterns, the strongest LED equipment solution on the market because we use the latest technology to disperse the heat so the light doesn't fade the longer its on, also by using the latest and greatest cree chips. The best performing competitor doesn't even sell to the off-road market, and with our latest PX16 we're back on top.

We don't sell any of our products online, and we can't due to our Rep agencies and Distributor contracts. However, for the Off-road / Expedition community we are looking to sell direct to help keep customer's costs down and have a better interaction with our customer base.

Feel free to reach out to Brian or Andrew for more details or call us direct. We typically ship within 3-5 business days."

So I mounted them up last weekend with my friend

And for my first time using long exposure at night, I got some night shots. For reference the tree in the middle of the road far down is about 250 yards away.

    Headlights only:

Only the 2 outer on my bumper, the 60 degree warm white. These do not look as "ambery" in person as they do in the pic

2 inner lights, 20 degree cool white

A leading competitor 40" single row light bar for comparison. 10 degree spot

    All 4 PTLX lights:

As you can tell they are pretty incredible.
    Link to their website: http://www.ptlxglobal.com/portfolio/px16-quadra-off-road-illumination
Review done on their old PX12, same size as the 16 but this unit is even more powerful: http://aksportingjournal.com/ptlx-globals-lights-shine-brightly/

Send me a PM if you are interested in the lights and would like anymore info! I can not post a price publicly as PTLX sells these lights to industrial companies for full price where as I can get them wholesale price.

I was just thinking about that 3rd pic. I just had my fog lights on with my low beams the other night and turned them off as a car approached. The guy flashed his brights on me anyway even after I had courteously/rightly turned off my fog lights. I thought to myself "you dick" If I had another half mile I would have loved to burn that fuckers corneas out with the lights like in pic 3. Thank you for your time.

Certainly not an expert and quite the camera noob still myself, but it appears you may have set your exposure a little too long. A lot is washed out. I'm still learning how to use my camera too. Gotta take a bazillion shots to get it just right. Ha. But yeah, nice to see some actual output shots and comparisons!!

Too many times I see shots of lights head on. "Look at my cool new lights!!"
uhh, all I can see is white blobs and camera glare.. cool story bro. Lmao.
