I have a BlueSeas SI-ACR mounted in my bed to share charge from my solar and alternator. Here's a few shots from my build thread.

I posted this in another thread and did not get an answer, so maybe you guys can help. In the case of trip where you are driving down trails and camping every night. Will the alternator not charge a bank of batteries? I mean, you are driving daily. It is not like you parked a camper and left it behind while foraying out for little trips. You are not parking a truck and living in it for a week. I know you are not keeping the RPMs up like on the highway, but even at slow speed should it be putting out enough amps to charge the batteries? Or am I way off track on that line of thought?

It depends on how far you drained your batteries. The trucks accessories and it's starting battery comes first.
