    @Box Rocket

    I'd like to get a third rail to better distribute the weight from my big ass when I'm in the tent. Do you know if it comes with the associated hardware? It would be nice to have everything I need in the package, but I'm most concerned about the sliding nuts for the new rail. It's for a GS Ruggedized. Let me know...

    Thanks!

    For you guys with a prinsu rack, how do you guys mount a big item like an rtt either on the roof or shell when there is that side rail to block you from reaching under and bolting down the mounts? Trying to see how people squeeze in to do that?

    They easiest way I have found is to remove the first and last cross bar. My rack sits super low on my canopy and there is almost no room to get a wrench in from the side. Taking the first and last off gives plenty of room to tighten the nuts then just reinstall the bars.

    I just jammed my arm in there with a ratcheting wrench. It sucked balls. Took like 2 hours to get the 8 nuts tightened down. My arms hurt awful afterwards. I do as mentioned above now and simply remove the two Prinsu rails the tent is mounted to in order to take the tent off.

    So the rtt I got or am getting is the ikamper skycamp that went up last week. Should be here by June so I'm looking and researching what kind of rack Setup to get. Either mount on roof or bed with kbvoodoo or mobtown with my retrax cover.

    I worry because the skycamp is huge. It's 86 inches long and 54 inches wide. It's def going to hang over on all sides of the prinsu. If it's too difficult I'll end up with a bed rack I guess compatible with my retrax.

    Here's my Tepui Autana, mounted to a custom bed rack (Craigslist find). Yes I can still get my spare tire out with the RTT on lol. If you have any questions, let me know! I used McMaster Carr security nuts to give me a little more peace of mind. I do now have an awning as well!

    Someone asked about getting the tent on and off:

    Easy one person job with an engine hoist.

    genius! I've seen people use cranes and I'm thinking "why the f*** do you have a crane" lol. Engine hoist makes more sense!

    Not enough...

    It only works if your truck is not lifted and the tent is not mounted on the roof... I can't even get my truck into the garage with the RTT on

    You'd want to order a mounting rail and a mounting bracket set. The bracket set will have the sliding piece and hardware.
