And that was the best one I had. I felt like a pit crew trying to change the bushings before it gave out

is that piece of wood where you separate the core member from the frame? I want to attempt this next weekend! To clarify @Crom what radiator bushings should I get? Saw something about kit vs universal?

    Yes it is.

Each kit has its strong suits. The universal has more overall surface area and gives you the ability to lift the body more for max bumper to fender height if you run a tube or plate bumper and the stock replacements offers a thicker inner sleeve which makes it a little stronger over universal. Those are the pros of each.

What Roberto said above. They are both good.

Some people reported fender to bumper alignment issues, or issues with hood alignment with the universal ones. I didn't experience that, but I was weird and didn't use the big washer on my install. Worked fine for over a year.

The kit ones fit perfectly on the truck. I liked the firmness of the universal ones best.

    Comparison photos below.

Yes, 4x4 used in conjunction with a jack to lift up the core support. The process is detailed on here pretty well so I did not write anything about it. Very straight forward swap though. Also, both bushings are head and shoulder above factory. I would not hesitate to go either route

I used the Kit bushings. I had the universal ones at first, but swapped to the Tacoma specific/kit ones. they fit better and just didnt want to mess with any potential issues.
