Tacoma's for sale, time for the new build. Went all the way to Louisville, KY to pick up this beast on Saturday (12/3). It's a 2011 4x4 crew cab with 115k on the clock. Corporate owned, clearly garaged its whole life, meticulously maintained. Got it for $29,500.

No big build on this like the taco was. Keeping it DD/work friendly.

No I'd need to build the trans for that. Keeping this simple.

"keeping it simple" lol! I am doing the same on the Silverado. Only other things would be exhaust and wheels/tires.

To anyone that would want to do an EGR delete on this truck, just get the block off plates. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever done working on trucks. Literally no space for a wrench or ratchet. 2 bolts left and I'm determined to get them off today. Then wait for the turbo mouthpiece that I broke to get here. :anonymous:

She's all back together and running. What an incredible difference. It's like an entirely different truck now and I love it!

Nice truck, what kind of milage are you getting? How often do you have to add the exhaust additive? Was looking at some GM's not to long ago. How's this one doing with 100K plus miles on it, according to people on here, it should have exploded by now. We all know better, and I like your truck.

Just got it running again on Friday after doing full deletes. Just a couple trips into town I'm averaging about 18 and I live up in the mountains, expecting about 21ish highway. From Louisville back home when I bought it I averaged 19.5. No DEF for me now but you could probably expect a jug about every 3k miles or so. I see no problem buying one with over 100k on it, thing ran well when I bought it and after deleting and tuning its a completely different truck (in a good way).

Please explain the mods you did, and it eliminated the need for DEF? We don't have inspections down here in FL. Thanks.

Yes, if you remove one part of the emissions system all of it has to go. New exhaust eliminated the DPF and DEF system. Its a downpipe back exhaust with muffler. The EGR delete completely removed the EGR cooler. The passenger side up pipe has a blocker plate on it and so does the manifold on the driver side. Its much easier to just put in blocker plates on the driver side manifold but I went ahead and did the full delete. Both have the same effect. As long as you don't have emissions testing you're good to delete the truck. If you do have emissions, gotta keep it with the emissions equipment.

Just took a trip to Pittsburgh and averaged 21.6 mpg overall for 676.9 miles (on one tank of fuel) before the gas light came on. I tend to get better mileage on the northbound trip and got 22.6 just that way. Super pleased with the performance.

Ordered some AVS in channel window visors, some white vinyl to do the bowties in white, some eagle eye led lights that I'm going to put under the running boards as entry/puddle lights, and an interior led bulb kit.

Called Line-x about having the bed sprayed but they aren't open on weekends and I'm not about taking a day off work for it so line-x will wait until I've got a day off. So instead I ordered Carhartt seat covers for the front and back. About a month wait time for them. Also going to pick up a tool box this weekend so I can stop hauling tools inside the truck.

Couple weeks ago I did a full detail on the truck. Wash, iron decontamination, clay bar, polish, wax, exterior black trim coated with 303, engine bay detail, interior vacuumed and wiped down, all glass cleaned, wheel wells, wheels and tires cleaned, tire shine. Took me right at 14 hours to do it all. Here's some pics, I hope the link works. Also changed the oil today and gonna wash as well. 15w40 Valvoline Premium Blue Heavy Duty Diesel and a Mobil 1 filter. 120,036 mi.

Need to get some pics of the head unit and backup cam. Great for hooking up to the trailer I bought a few weeks ago. I got a 2018 PJ D7 7x14 dump trailer with the rear stabilizer jacks and tarp kit.

Had some issues for the past couple weeks, tried getting in touch with motor ops to sort things out. Not impressed with customer service... Contemplating dropping the cash and switching over to PPEI tuning. But after fooling around with the truck a bit its pretty close to back to normal.
