I've been getting particularly shitty radio reception for months (before it bent)... Now I have an excuse to replace the whole thing!

    Replacing the complete antenna

It would depend just who is going to do it.

If your neighbor says it is a project take him at his word

To me it is just a pain .

The hardest part is pulling the radio out to install the coax .

In your case why not go to electric so when the radio is off the antenna mast is retracted .

Really cuts down on the Screwing part

Last month we had some snow and I want to see what my 2015 5 lug could do. I drove half way up a hill and wheels just started spinning. It was not going another inch. I hit the button and it walked right up the hill. I was actually pretty surprised at how well it worked. My VSC seems to stop wheel spin when starting in slippery conditions. With the VSC disable button I feel I have no need for 4wd for what I use my truck for.

99% sure I'm gonna get a new grill from @HomerTaco.

My front bumper is more of a dark gray than a black, and this is probably the grill I'm gonna get:

I want my front (and possibly rear) bumpers to match the mesh part...

Radio does NOT need to come out to replace the coax. You aren't replacing that part of the wire. There is a connector on the coax under the plastic cover for the passenger side front pillar. Obviously, you need to take the cover off the pillar, 2 caps and 10mm bolts to take the handle off, then the cover just pulls off. Take the glove box out to access the plug where the wire runs through to the fender.

The most difficult part of the replacement is just REMOVING the old one. Usually, it is quite impossible to unscrew the nut, so you'll need something small like a die grinder to cut the top part off.

Some people insist of completely removing the fender liners, but when I did it, I found that you just pop off the clips (hint: check under the hood near the ABS pump -- you can get access to a couple of the clips from there!) and can bend it out of the way. There is a 10mm bolt holding the antenna base to the fender.

    Moms do not get it!

Insurance on my Tacoma is paid and my credit card is also paid... Have money left over...

The two lower tabs on my grill are busted and I've decided I want to buy a custom grill from HomerTaco (cheaper than factory grill from what I can tell). My dad is fine with the idea and I wouldn't be surprised if he helps pay for it as a birthday present (I turn 28 on March 14), but my mom is on my ass about "You can't afford it!"

Heroin/opiate addiction is an epidemic in my area. I can proudly say that I'm almost 28 and aside from the one time I smoked weed, I have NEVER done drugs...

Don't intend to either! My Tacoma is my anti-drug! You might even call it an addiction...

But unlike breaking into houses to fund a dope habit, blowing your paycheck on Tacoma mods is not illegal!

I often have a hard time deciding if I want to drive the 911 Turbo or Tacoma to work each morning.

Same as the Boxter S, depreciation is wonderful for buyers like us. This car was around $140k new, now they sell for about the same as a new Tacoma.

An argument with my mom about the Satoshi grille...

My point is I've stayed out of trouble, I have a job, and the Tacoma is titled in my name...

I wish my mom would stop second-guessing my attempts to have some fun with my truck!

How's the A/C in your Porsche? I've been told by the 911 diehards that the A/C sucks in pre-1998 air-cooled models, but it's fine in liquid cooled models...

If you pay your own bills, and you own the truck, and your just living with your parents then ignore her.

    Probably gonna do that...

I pay the bills related to the truck. Somehow still manage to live in my parents' brand new 4-bedroom, 2-zone central air-conditioned house rent-free. Don't want to rock the boat too much...
