What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I just did this to my truck and the wife's car. I have always used the smaller squirt bottles in the past, but saw the spray bottle and thought it would be easier. I think they had to thin the solution out to make the sprayer work, and they might have changed the formula in other ways too because it doesn't seem to work as well as the original stuff. I'm also not a fan of spraying the Rain-X directly on the glass because of overspray. In the end I ended up spraying a cloth, and so the old-time squeeze bottle would have been a better choice for me.

 

Forgot to mention something when I posted the pics of my retros.

I am missing one pc before I can attempt to install it all. It's the wiring harness.

Supposedly getting that today, so then I should have everything to attempt to the it all.

Kinda freaking out a bit about the wiring part to be honest... I see a lot of wires coming out of the housing, and not quite sure where/how it all connects.

Hoping once I get the lat part, and finally try to do this, it'll start to make sense somehow.

 

Is this the angle you need? Any others just ask

 

Derped my switch panels. Man, it looks much better than before when they were discolored and grimy looking.

Cloth panels are next to be replaced.

Went out to play in the snow for the first time. Just got her and haven't done much yet. '07 TRD-OR Auto got it with 87,000 on the OD bone stock.

Leaf spring recall being done in a few days as well as tinting the front windows to match the rears, and color matching the grille surround.
SOOOOOOO much more mod'ing to come now that i've discovered TW.... my list is endless right now.

I haven't installed one on my Tacoma yet, waiting for the next oil change, but I used to have one on my old Cummins Dodge and it works great.

 

I finally joined the "cracked windshield" club. Now all 5/5 of my friend, including my dad, have had cracked windshields on our 2nd Gen Tacomas.

I was the last remaining on my kind.

 

I put a crack in my windshield the first 200 miles i had my truck........... pissed me right off.

 

BIG FUCKING DISLIKE.

That sucks man.

 

My dads 2012 cracked within a week of him owning the truck.

Probably getting it replaced tomorrow by Safelite for $250 out of pocket. My deductible is $500 so that doesn't help any.

 

sucks.. all my rides have busted up windshields my work rig is by far the worst looks like i was shot with a shot gun haha kind of funny. az freeways....... glass wont last

 

My 2012 got cracked on my way to work the first week I owned it. Safelite fixed it but I still stayed pissed off about it. Then the truck was totaled shortly after that. I think that truck was cursed or something.

 

I painted mine and LOVE the difference. The grey plastic had gotten all yellowed and gross and it just bugged the crap out of me.
