I finally got it in by utilizing the space above the radio and below the dash. Next week when my pac cam ty-12 arrives ill probably do that if it doesnt all end up fitting above.

I also tested my dremel skills for the usb integration20170311_170340.jpg 20170311_170824.jpg 20170311_170327.jpg 20170311_175534.jpg

Installed my Joying HU and backup camera today. I'm not 100% happy with the double din kit (SCOSCHE TA2053BKB). The clips from the old kit didn't fit, so I need to locate some of those for a solid fit. It's not bad I guess. Went with a cheapass backup camera from Amazon. It works, but I might need to get something with better video quality. Curious to see how it works at night (I have halogen backup lights, and the camera has no infrared leds).

Anyway, pretty happy with it. The HU takes a lot of fussing to set up to my liking. I guess it's a good thing I like to tinker with shit.

In Settings there is the 3 icons down on the left hand side which allows you to change the color scheme, background and theme. From there you have to load an image (if I recall correctly, 400x800 pixels) [dont quote me on that] and load it onto the USB input via a thumb drive. One of the selections is to read from a plugged in drive, it lots of times automatically loads. Select it and it's yours. I found this one online with the Toyota in Red.

This also loads in the start up screen. I am not sure you can do that with the AVH-X5800bhs. In my 2015, I have the AVIC-8200NEX, but I have the 5800 in my 2007 Tacoma.

It can, yes. It's got some goofball shit out of the box, so I put Auto on there. I like it a lot better.

Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX. Factory camera, SiriusXM antenna, NAVI antenna, and microphone have been integrated into this aftermarket deck. Only half of the steering wheel controls, but the important ones.

Cannot say I have heard of them, but I am checking out there stuff. Android can be a great car audio head unit OS if done correctly.
