    Hey all,
So I may be moving to Texas in a month or so for a job with a local Co-Op Power company in Dilley, Texas. Do you guys have any recommendations of neighboring cities to rent or buy a house in? I live in Southern California currently so am not to familiar with what is considered a good area or "bad" area out that way. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Looks like Dilley is fairly isolated area. Try speaking with your new manager about areas to live. Also you can contact a real estate agent to assist you.

Ya it is pretty isolated. I was going to talk to the manager when I fly down there next week but wanted to do some research of my own before then

Damn!.........from Southern Cali to deep South Texas what a huge difference!

Boy your in for it big time. Better get used to it cause it's practically deadsville down there. Nothing but coyote's, rattle snakes and scorpions to deal with, not including the drug runners and Mexican Mafia.

SA (San Antonio) being the closest major city.

But if you can survive down there, you can survive anywhere.

Oh and one last thing......whatever you do......STAY AWAY FROM THE BORDER TOWNS!

Don't even think about going to them or crossing over into Mexico, just don't do it cause if you do you're only asking for trouble and believe me you'll find it too.
