    I haven't really had the chance to use it yet. I like knowing is will be there next time I go play off road though. My buddy found a deal on walmart.com for a little over $30 for the cb, coax, and magnetic antenna and we both got one so we can talk to eachother when on the trails. I don't care for the look of the antenna and plan on changing it to a longer firestick style mounted from the bed or tool box with an elbow so it can be bent down. Overall, I think it'll be good to have and we got creative with the wiring so it's all tucked away nicely and I'm very happy with that.

    I believe the antenna has a 17ft cable...depending on how you tuck it and run it, it may reach. I have it on the top of my cab right now. Later on I plan to switch to a better antenna and mount it behind the cab to my tool box or the bed. I'll run out to my truck and get some photos of it for you.

    20170312_090738.jpg 20170312_090756.jpgSo the cable runs behind the cab and is zip tied a few times to other wires under the truck.20170312_090850.jpg It runs to a rubber grommet under the driver side that was drilled then an x cut into it for the cable to pass through.20170312_091239.jpg Then ran under the carpet and into the little channel on the driver side then up under the dash.20170312_091321.jpg Over to the center console where the cable was tucked under until it attached to the cb.20170312_091328.jpgAny extra cable is kinda hidden everywhere its tucked places.
    20170310_162252.jpg I picked up a mini add-a-circuit from Pepboys.20170310_175526.jpg Which was plugged into the fuse panel behind the little tray on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Found a spot that isn't used and only recieves power when the key is on so the cb can be left on without it draining the battery. Used a 3 amp fuse. Grounded the negative wire to a bolt under the dash to the right of the fuse pannel.

    The base is magnetic so it just sits on the roof and stays up there going freeway speed...I did knock it off pulling into the parking garage at work...for as whimpy as it looks it took it like a champ lol.

    I had the magnet mount one like that but when I was offroad About every 30ft I'd smack it on a branch and it would fall off. The way I have my Firestik now I can bend it all the way back and nothing will happen.
