CMC w/ Spacers!!! Help pls

    Justin, by adding the Spidertrax, you're pushing the wheels out thus creating a wider turning radius.

    Your best solution is to do the cmc mod. Any welder in town should be able to take of this for you, even a muffler shop.

    Take a look at this thread and order up Jerry's cmc plates. Go over it with the welder and you'll be a lot happier in the end. Grinding it down won't get you the same results. It needs to be chopped off.

    Yeah I def need to order some of those. If I cut out the mount myself with a grinder then drove it to a welder would it hurt anything?

    Nope. In fact, some people cut it and never plate it afterwards.

    I'm running 35s and mine is cut and I haven't had a chance to put a plate in there yet. You'll be fine, but I would leave it to the welded to cut since he's doing the work. Otherwise if the cut is not good, he'll blame you:(. Cutting is extremely easy so don't sweat it too much.

    Good to know. Honestly ill probably cut it myself too and if the welder has a problem oh well. Honestly I probably want cover it for a while either if it doesnt hurt anything. Good to know. Thanks for all the input. That helped out tremendously.

    Anyone that's 4x4 with 3"-4" of lift. What did you all do in the rear as far as using shims or axle spacers? Did you need anything at all to fix the vibs. Yes I know 3-4" is a little much being 4x4 and will stress the front parts.

    So just got done doing this I have about a half inch-inch clearance at full lock with what I cut. Is that enough to keep me from hitting anything if I go offroad or hit a big bump?
    Yes I know its not cut perfect and I still have to grind the sharp edges off and smooth it out.

    I know this is an old thread but I wanted to clarify something..

    So spacers get you away from control arm rubbing (obviously) but make cab mount rubbing worse?
