I wish I could remember the list of things that failed when I blew up the motor. Obviously, they replaced everything, but it still wasn't done right. That's what happens when you send a Honda motor to a domestic engine shop!

Not that the H22 blocks are known for leaking/burning/using oil without cause or anything

I originally bought it for my 4runner like 6 yrs ago and never put it on as I change the oil on it only about once a a year. I expect to need to change the oil in my truck every 5mo or so. so I figure I'd toss it on.

I've blown up a honda before...about 11 years ago in a 97' Type R Integra. 3rd to 2nd accidently...you only do that once in life...lol Grenaded the motor, destroyed a piston, broke off a part of one sleeve. I decided to build an LS/Vtec motor and sent it to a local machine shop that primarily does LS GM motors. Piston rings never sealed (inproperly honed), finally lost so much compresssion it wouldn't run. After dumping 6-7k in the motor, driving a mini van from work for 2 months, and getting it put in the car only to have it run for 2 weeks, I finally just said screw it and traded a guy for a stock Type R motor and sold the car.

    Yeah man!

There's usually one at Turkey Bay in LBL or somewhere else which is on Memorial Day weekend, and one in mid-late October too. These are usually the bigger ones with the most attendance.

There's usually people doing random smaller things too in-between those bigger events. I've a feeling there will be a lot of smaller ones happening this summer too solely based off of how many people are coming to this event.

Man, this sucks...I came down with one heck of a sinus infection. Been out of work since Friday. Hope to be good enough to get out there on Saturday.

    Later.

Removed my Cobra 19 DXIV, installed the 75 with mic cable coming up inside the console, did not install the DYF Antenna 2.0 yet since it immediately came to life with trucker chatter this morning. Bringing 2.0 with so I can test SWR with old setup vs new. Completed the 400w anytime mod, will be testing that with a breast pump just in case anybody seems malnourished/dehydrated after heavy drinking and gangbanging at LBL. Still need to shim my front bumper at LBL, 12v power anytime mod at LBL, maybe replace some missing rock lights at LBL.
@presta24 I just realized I loaned out my fancy fender cutting saw, hopefully someone else can bring some fender/liner trimming tools.

@Overture you need a warm ass sleeping bag if you're camping. No room in the bag with Amy and I, plus the boy Saturday night.
