Affordable midsize pick up is probably the simplest reason i could give you.

The pick up models are super popular too (pre-Tacoma). I had a 89 with a SAS, 5.29 gearing, 6" all spring lift, 2" body lift, running 35 boggers, 22re (running on 3 cylinders), 4runner front end conversion, bumpers, sliders, and skids and I sold it for almost 9000 LOL

Theres just something about Toyotas that they all love, just like us.

Probably that you can fucking beat on them and they still love you:rofl:

Theyre also the best looking truck...

    In summation: TACOMA

Carnegie is so small you can piss on one fence line and get your foot wet on another...

Edit - for 4x4s. Lots of dirt bike trails, but I've never ridden...

Just saw your edit. I wouldn't waste my time with 4x4 but for something close and to get my dirt biking fix it will do. Lots of hill climbs there, so if that's your thing :thumbsup:Personally I'm a trail rider

Well definitely agree with you them being the best looking and reliable trucks. And yeah I can echo a lot of what you just posted most of the Tacoma's I did see over there were all lifted and setup real nice. You can certainly tell Hawaiians love their Tacoma's as do we.

You know...I'm all for "to each their own", but some things I dislike seeing on vehicles. ^this kind of bullshit included. When it serves zero purpose other than "the look", just..UGH. Like the new stanced cars, congratulations, you probably get 500 miles on your tires before they pop or you need new ones. Why???

Thanks! I'd give it a bit, I'm sure there will be some forced induction of some sort for 3rd gens at some point. Although they are already pretty high revving as is, unsure how the power band would look with FI then lol

But weren't you on.....an island? Maybe Hawaii is bigger than it is in my brain. Only stopped there on the way to the Philippines in the 80's. Before they figured out flying over Bering Straight saved 3 hours. Usually with a stop in Narita.

Figured you can't fuck with anyone on an island, unless you drive a white Toyota Camry.
