your very welcome. I will probably do this someday. I think I will get a spare from a junk yard to rebuilt then install that.

I had the same idea but I'm also thinking about the 1 piece drive shaft. The only negatives about the solid shaft is the $$$$ and with my mileage (182k) don't know if its worth it.

It won't hang much lower - there were some pics in another thread. The main concern is the solid shaft hitting the cross member where the carrier bearing mounts when you bottom the rear suspension.

i have already ht mine a few times lucky haven't broke it yet. so any change downward isn't good for me. i have very little vibes at take off so no need to change the geometry if it works.

Not sure if this question belongs here, but about how many miles can everyone go once the orange empty light comes on?

I've heard different accounts from 25 miles to 50. But the thing that I've also heard (to much debate, I may add) is that your fuel pump is cooled by the actual gas in the tank and running it under 1/4 tank exposes it and it could get hot and wear out faster, etc. etc.

Not sure if there's any actual documentation, testing or data on that tidbit or not but usually I try to keep at least a quarter tank in the pig.
Which reminds me... I need to stop at a gas station on the way home...

There's about four gallons left when the light comes on. Like orezona said, general consensus is to not run it too low.

yeah I try not to but kinda just happens

Another question Ive been wanting to ask here, after installing my 33s I noticed when going up steep hills that are pretty long my truck seems to "jump" and "stick" in gears. Like Ill be going slow (60mph) and about 2 rpm then if I push on the gas slowly nothing happens. It finally takes me putting a decent amount of force on the gas tp jump the rpm to 4 or so and then even if I let off the gas completely it sticks at 4 then will shoot to 2rpm. Any ideas? Think regearing next year will fix this?

Came here in search of a list of running board vendors... Found that the "installing running boards" tutorial link is broken :)

    Check the search function...

Also, pretty much any time you add "Tacoma" to a google search almost always there's at least one or two threads (sometimes several hundred) that link back to TW.

Welcome...! Now post pics of you truck!

I've proven that. I had a marginal fuel pump. If I let the gas get too low, the fuel pump would overheat and shut off. At that point, I could sit for a while until it cooled, then drive for a while longer. As long as I kept at least a quarter tank full, the fuel pump would not overheat.
