I really liked the way @inv3ctiv3 did his. Will probably copy him once I upgrade to a bigger tent down the line. For now, I have a roll cage light that I got off Amazon that runs on batteries that I velcroed around the center beam. Also have a light stuck to the underside of the tent.

    Works well enough...

how long does the charger work? Seems like a good idea for the ladder while having the permanent led strips in the tent.

What did you use to hold the tent leds in?

I've had my RTT open over my tailgate for a while.

I'm considering the move to opening it on the passenger side.

I'm just soliciting feedback... Why do you choose to open it one way or the other?

I'd never go over tailgate because it makes it that much more difficult to get stuff from the bed. No?

    I go passenger.

Not that I noticed. And it provided cover if I decided to use the tailgate as a table.

I've since purchased multiple lightweight tables and no longer need to utilize the tailgate for anything.

passenger for me, so when the cover is hanging down I have access to my driver's seat and the natural way the center console opens. I may switch it around this season being that I have a swingout with a fold down table now and may not want to walk around it when it's open to access the ladder of the tent.

Which ever way I loaded the tent on the truck lol I usually go drivers side though I did tailgate drop once but that was before I had the swing out. Also my fridge and awning are going to be on the passenger side so there's that
