progressive 3 leaf differences

    With my stock 4 leaf, I removed my overload leaf so it's sitting at 2" probably a tad bit higher if I left the overload leaf in.

    3" toyotec coils, wheelers progressive leaf, bilstien 5100, pro comp wheels, 285/75r16 cooper st maxx, grey wire, weather tech, floor mats, bug deflector and rain guards, old man bed shell, tint
    I have the wheelers 3 leaf. I took the overload leaf out when I installed as well got about 1.5 of lift. It is butter smooth I think it is smoother than stock.

    I've been looking into leafs along with suspensions options and chatting with Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. She has provided me with a lot of info to help me decide which way I want to go. I'm not sure if I'll go with the AAL or dakars yet but I will be deciding very soon. Heres some info about 1 and 3 AAL differences and function. Not sure if this is helpful or not but I dont have any personal experience with it myself yet.

    "The single AAL is both thicker and arched more than the initial leaf in the 3 leaf AAL. Though the 3 leaf AAL has more steel overall, the first leaf in the mini pack does not engage as quickly as the single AAL does. In fact the single AAL is arched to a point where it re-arches the existing factory packs upon assembly and thus engages immediately. The 3 leaf AAL has less arch and complies with the arch of the factory packs. So although the first leaf in the 3 leaf AAL will provide some support with the smaller bumps, it won’t provide as much as the single AAL will, which translates to a slightly stiffer on-road ride. And as far as the 2nd and 3rd leafs in the 3 leaf AAL, these will only come into play until the factory packs are flexed far enough to engage them. This will happen more so over the bigger bumps or when off-roading. The single leaf provides approx. 1.5"-2" of lift and the 3-leaf provides approx. 1.5" of lift with the factory overload removed and approx. 2" with it retained. The overload does provide function, for when you are over load, so removing it or retaining it can depend on what you use your truck for. If you find yourself hauling or towing a decent amount of weight you may want to keep the overload in to keep the factory pack and add-a-leaf from overflexing. Now the performance and capabilities of any of the add-a-leafs still do rely on the factory leaf pack and its capabilities and wareability."

    should I add or leave the overload leaf in? also only going up about 2 inches do I need to put extensions the break lines and vent lines? ty

    Rancho Quick lift. Wheelers Off Road Progressive AAL with Rancho RS9000's, braided brake lines & clutch line. BFG 32x11.50 15 All Terrain Tires Deck Plate Mod. Flowmaster 60 series muffler and Marlin Crawler Short Throw Shifter.
    I had 2" blocks on my truck and then put the progressive AAL on and got rid of the blocks and the overload spring. I measured and got the same amount of lift as the block and overload spring, 2". I am sure the springs will settle down to about 1.5".
