How I ended up installing the CAI after I wanted to get rid of it by any means is another story but lets say my wife "convinced" me to stop the BS. So, I installed it on Wednesday afternoon and here are the findings. ( on both the OR and PRO never had any of the tranny problems as some have complained).
For almost 4 months I drove daily my OR to work and back on the same route and I know each light where I get stopped, how long it takes to reach a point after green light changes, how fast the truck responds and runs. The OR was stock without any changes.
I have my PRO for 3.5 weeks now and compared to OR it drives the same way, except the shocks that are "mushy" on the PRO.
This week for three days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I paid a lot of attention to the truck driving response and handling. I measured the time and distance it took from point to point along the way and how fast/often based on RPM it changed gears. Nothing different from the OR.
After work on Wednesday I installed the CAI (PRO already has the catback installed) but being late in the night I did not do any testings.
For two days, Thursday and Friday I have repeated the same testing on the same route with the CAI installed and found the following:
    - sound is the same, I don't hear any distinctive more or less muffler sound
    - truck is more "snappy" now and changes gears from 1 to 2 at 3000 RPM and at about 2700 RPM after that for the higher gears (feels like the ECT is ON.
    - it has a "freeer" run and the throttle responds better/faster.
    - looks like it stays in the same gear longer than before or the OR truck.
    - AND! found a problem (pictures attached)
After the CAI install I was hearing a slight hissing noise from the engine area and it got louder as the RPM went up. Took me about 2.5 hours to remove old and install new, all was checked twice and even made sure the screws are even (OCD). For two days it drove me nuts and today after work decided to find and fix the problem. What I found is that the CAI hone that goes in the fender is rubber and does NOT fit the lower filter box tight like the original hone from plastic (that was TIGHT and took some force to remove it). As I was pressing on it in different places the hissing stopped or changed tune. I went to local NAPA store and got the T-nut hose clamp (I never liked the worm screw type and also is too narrow) and placed it over the hone to box connection. All is good now now and also gained 1MPG after testing :).
I had to remove the windshield wiper tank to get the the hone and work around the clamp. Easy job.

So your wife talked you into installing a cold air intake?

No, she "talked" me into not throwing it away as it came NIB. Because of UPS stupidity I hate it and wanted to get rid of it, give it away or gently putting it in a dumpster. Actually I pick it up from UPS, had to sigh for it and wanted to donate it to anybody that would claim it but UPS would not hold it after it was signed, so I put the box outside the UPS door. Wife went and got it and "lovingly" told to cut the BS.
It stayed outside the house close to sidewalk from Monday afternoon till Wednesday afternoon and nobody took it!!! MIRACLE. Where is a MOFO when you need one?

I had dibs! Hmm, I like your findings. I don't like that you used worm clamps on the couplers. Once you go t nut, you never go worm slamput

No doubt! If you "find" another one of these you don't want, let me know and I'll pay for you to ship it my way!

I have that noise ... right when I hit the throttle even a little bit .... never bothered me until now...

At least I know how to get rid of it.. thanks OP and I think there's meds for your OCD issues, they may even be legal in your state! :rasta: Just sayin....
